I'm gonna answer based on my own experience.
I can be very horny or not at all.
On my horniest time, I had around 40 40 orgasms a week. On the other hand, I can abstain for a very long time without getting horny. For instance, I've spent now 3 weeks without being horny and having orgasm.
Many men can't abstain from masturbating for that long. Or just don't want to. But I'm fine. I actually feel very goot and focused. I've known many women who never had sex and feel good. It's pretty hard to find men in this situation.
That's just my opinion...
But if men could have 40 orgasm in a week they maybe would go longer with out sex. There urges probably wouldn’t come back as fast. But 40 orgasm would kill me, my heart would give out.

I think it's a myth honestly. But it can also go both ways. You have a lot of sexually sadistic people out there, both men and women, who crave sex constantly.
