My hymen was broken with a medical procedure a year before I had sex for the first time, so sex was not painful for me. It was incredibly awkward though.   Awww I’m so sorry to hear your first experience wasn’t great! I truly hope to save myself for marriage but I’m not going to lie, as I get older it gets harder for me simply because I’m so curious to know what it feels like since we live in such a sexualized world. But since I don’t date it’s easier for me. I just won’t have sex with a random guy but truly cannot wait to lose it.

  I lost my virginity to a guy I had been dating for a few weeks, not just someone random. But I still regretted it. Personally I don’t understand the whole saving yourself for marriage thing. It would suck to get married and have sex for the first time to your husband or wife, only to find that their genitalia is deformed, unattractive or they’re terrible at sex. But that’s just my personal thinking on it.

  Yes I think about that a lot. I truly am scared about being unsatisfied if I wait until marriage but it’s for religious reasons. Also how do I know if my hymen is broken or not? Is it even possible for someone my age to still have their hymen intact? I heard it can get broken from riding a bike or different activities. I don’t wanna bleed my first time.

  I think you would know if your hymen has already broken. I was in horrific pain when my hymen broke. I don’t know if the pain is the same for every woman though. Also, I did not bleed when my hymen broke 😊
