It seems like it would be a tough decision if you don’t know for sure she’s on birth control. The reason I ask, I’ve slept with 2 guys since breaking up with my ex. Neither asked me if I was on birth control before we had sex. One finished inside me, the other pulled out. Is it just a spur of the moment decision?

I'd imagine most guys would prefer to finish inside of the girl they're sleeping with. I mean, you're the one who's going to get pregnant so, in the heat of the moment, it's easy to say that the onus is on the chick.

I've been the one making the decision with my boyfriend for several years. After all, I'm the one who knows if I'm on birth control or not, where I am in my cycle, etc.. If I'm a few days before I'm due to ovulate, for example, I'll tell him to pull out and finish on me right when things are getting started.

depends on how much i know her. i'll observe a girl, see if she's taking the pill regularly (without telling her) and watch if she's a responsible person overall. it takes time. when i trust in her responsibility, i still ask if she for sure has taken the pill and everything is fine before i do it.

Some guys care more than others. I'm not only thinking of pregnancy, but STI's, so I need to be confident neither of those are happening for me to do it. I've only been with one woman without a condom. She had a hysterectomy and had no STI's so I felt "safe". But even then I wore a condom for the first few times we had sex.

But some guys don't thnk/care as much about it. Some will go with how it feels and not worry at all about the possible consequences.
