1) both get tested to be certain

2) enter an agreement to be monogamous as long as you're together. If any of you want to fuck someone else, make sure you get another test. Hence agree to tell so that the case of "cheating" won't exist.

To avoid pregnancy:
3) pills, but you may get mood swing long term.

4) IUDs is another good and effective method. Ask your doctor if you plan on a sex-filled lifestyle.

If you both can fulfilled the above, then go bare should be ok. And you'll find a lot more pleasure too that way.

If it isn't something you would have wanted without him pestering you, don't do it. No form of birth control is 100% so combining methods like the pill and condoms is best.
If I was in your position I would be pretty pissed that he kept asking after he was told no. I wouldn't feel good about a partner who pushed boundaries like that
