How do I turn this hook up into friends with benefits?

OK so there's this guy who I like, but I know we would never date, he is not the dating type, and he is also not the type to hook up with lot's of girls, I don't think he ever has before. I also know, though, that he would hook up with me, that he WANTS to hook up with me, he told me himself. I want to hook up with him too, but I don't want it to be just one hook up and that to be the end of it. I am completely OK with us not dating, but me and him aren't THAT close (we are friends but not close friends) and I don't want one hookup to ruin our relationship, I want us to get closer, whether it's just as friends or as friends with benefits. obviously I would prefer friends with benefits. anyway, I guess to sum up my question should I hook up with him? what should I tell him during this hook up that let's him know that I want a friends with benefits relationship? how do you think he would respond? any advice at all is welcome.

i've had a FWB before I just told him upfront that we should be friends with benefits, we hooked up twice a week and dated other people and such but we only had sex with each other, I did grow feelings for him eventually but I knew what I had gotten myself into but soon he found his now girlfriend :/ and I've been trying to find another FWB but I don't know why it's so hard to find one! they're definetely fun, no strings attached, no drama and don't get too attached :) good luck!

I argue with IMJOE. Since your not "THAT close" you don't know what you're getting into. Another situation I'm in now lol we are FWB and I regret it because he is confusing as hell and I don't know what he is thinking because I don't really know him all that much. It goes from him being a considerate Boyfriend type which is creepy to a f*** buddy that I just met

Right now I would suggest NOT becoming FWB. You sound like you like him for more than just sex, which could end badly if he's only wanting to hook up

make sure no alcohol is involved. hang out with him a lot before you do anything and find a way to mention that you're sick of relationships for now and that "relationships just complicate things" etc. etc. don't go all the way the first time. be flirty and what not and let him know you like his company but that you don't feel like being in a relationship right now. he might be on the same page.

are you absolutely sure you will not start an emotional bonding with him if you hv sex with him? If so have a serious talk and tell him that you desire a friend with benefit relationship with him and establish rules. if he can comply, go for it.. enjoy.

Tell him that you feel something between y’all and that y’all should be more than just a hook up. Like tell him we should be friends with benefits.
