✴ motor/car : you're showing off that you have it. "oh do you like my vehicle? come for a ride"
✴half naked pic: "look, you can get THIS body"
✴animal : "see i love my cat/dog/etc. i hope you want to get to know my pet. I'm insecure in myself "
And if you have a picture of you doing somthing you're also showing off or if it's a pallned/posed picture it looks super fake and no one likes selfies really, so moral of the story don't be a guy on tinder haha?
doing something is different. like you're doing some tricks on bike n your budd makes a pic about it, is way different from posing. this way you're just showing your hobby. i can't really answer at your question about tinder cos i was using it for like 15 min only 😂
I personally don't think it's flattering. It's like you're posting your bike for sale on eBay or something. A selfie would be sufficient. Most people are interested in seeing your face and not your possessions.
