I think you can tell. It’s pretty easy to tell when a person actually believes in what they are saying. But that requires more than just texting on a regular basis. Unfortunately nowadays, real communication between people is a lost art. Real communication, the sort of communication that allows you to read someone else involves body language, tone of voice, facial expressions, and actually being in their presence and feeling the person.
If a guy is playing you he will be more about funny non serious talk and suave about his behavior. Everything he says out of his mouth will be to impress you and he will show no real passion behind why he likes you or what makes up who he is in life. He will not be willing to be vulnerable and tell you what his concerns are in life. He won’t talk about just anything with you but rather focus on whatever it takes to butter you up so that you will easy let him down your pants. Men who are real don’t do that kind of crap or play those games. They act themselves and they want to have a real conversation regardless of how it makes them look. Because they want to be honest and want you to be honest too.
Also, is he willing to look at you and make eye contact when he talks to you? If not, then he has something to hide. Sex is something that must be earned. Not with money obviously, but with trust, respect, honesty, and love.
You can't tell what anyone is thinking. All you see is their behavior. Don't give more than you are getting. Have sex because YOU want to have sex. Understand that you can't trade sex for love or commitment.
