Sex is a minor player in a relation. Less than 1% single percent of an adult's life time is spent being sexual, yet it takes such an enormous importance in people's lives that it rules it.
People are total slaves of their sexuality and do murder, rape and steal for it.
Of course, there are a great number of things that are way more important than sex in life.
You can live a totally happy life, filled with love without spending one second thinking and practicing sex. You are free of a number of issues that are associated with sex and that would be cheating and getting STD/STI from it.
However, a great number of girls do feel some attraction for the opposite gender, that is undeniable. But again, sex is not the most important thing in a relation.
I'm not totally sure about what you said because girls are always happy and but guys can't be Happy All the time without girls , or without wife.
I am saying that girls don't place so much importance on sex as guys do. Yes girls can be happier without being without a man because very often this relation is not working out and is toxic.

For me, intimacy is a part of my relationship. It isn't something that consumes our time but happens once in a while. It is important to me to have that intimate connection with my partner.
That said, it also (very soon, hopefully) will serve to start a family after we marry at the end of this year. While it is not a huge part of our life, it does bring us closer together when the mood strikes.
That said, we don't spend a whole lot of time worrying about "how much" of it has or is going to take place. I am speaking on my SO's behalf as well. He doesn't press or pressure me into intimacy. We get a healthy dose and are happy with the balance in our relationship.
