A girl has a little hole between her vagina hole and under the clit. This is where the pee comes out. While she is squatting or sitting on a toilet her labia parts slightly and allows the pee to come out. Inevitably there will be a little dribble so she will wipe it off when she is done.

He has a good question for a guy his age. I've known girls who didn't know much about their anatomy until late teens. Guys are usually told when they are young, that a girl pees from her vagina. As to how a girl 'adjusts' herself to prevent splash back and dribbling, it is not something most guys have any clue about. Give the guy a break and teach him somthing. When my daughter was potty training I stuck her on the toilet seat and the pee started splashing all over the seat. I told her to lean forward so it would go into the bowl but that made it worse. Then my ex wife informed me it works better if she sits more upright. I've got a hose so that's all I know of. Point and shoot.
