How I found out my sister was gay

Info:

I have 2 sisters, 1 gay, 1 straight.

They are not my biological sisters, but they are biological sisters.

I'm 17, Gay sister is 17, Straight sister is 19.

Introduction:

Before i get started i'd just like to say that being gay is not a bad thing, everybody has their own sexual preference. I was raised in a straight household, we were taught that being gay was out of the norm, that it was bad and we should stay away from people who were gay.

My mom once invited a gay relative over and told us to stay away from them like they had a disease or something.. So homosexual people are sort of taboo to me, So when i finally found out my sister was gay it was a huge pill to swallow, but it isn't any of my business.

The only reason i'm writing this take is because nobody will be able to tell who she is, so i'm not outing her. I'm just telling you guys the signs i should have payed attention to.

Maybe if i knew i would have adjusted how i spoke to her, or just made her feel more comfortable.

Last thing; my sister is still closeted, i'm the only one who knows she is gay

i'll tell you how i found out in the take.

First sign:

Wanting to be the husband.

The first sign my sister showed was when we were in elementary school playing house.

(We were not at elementary school)

It all started with our neighbor (m) Who was a girl. (M) Would always come over almost everyday to play house with my sister. At first i disliked (M), and i disrespected her. As i grew, me and (m) sort of became like boyfriend and girlfriend, Which made my sister super jealous.

She was jealous of our little relationship and i had no idea why.. When we all played house,

(M) would be the mom, automatically, my sister and i would fight for the title of Husband.

Weird right? why would a girl want to be a husband i thought, but we would get tired of fighting over the title, and ask (m) who she wanted the husband to be. She always chose me, Sometimes she would choose my sister to be the husband and give me a certain look, that look meant;

I don't want to make her mad so i chose her.

Second sign:

Tomboy.

Being a tomboy is actually pretty normal, but my sister was a tomboy to the point where it got annoying. My sister would and 'still does to this day' Dress in my clothes. It's very annoying having to search through her room for my clothes... then sometimes finding my shorts with blood stains in them. My parents finally gave my sister permission to wear make up, but she refused..

My eldest sister, the straight one, was very excited to wear makeup, but when my other sister got permission she had no interest. She preferred wearing hats, my basketball shorts, hoodies, and

boy-ish shoes. At this point i knew my sister was weird but i never knew she was gay.

Third sign:

Sleepovers.

Sleep overs are normal for every girl to have, no matter what sexual preference they are, but there was something strange about my sisters sleepovers. She didn't want anyone around, not even our parents.... She just wanted to be alone with the girls.. and we understood that because it was you know, a girls sleepover. it became weird when she didn't want my eldest sister going to her sleepovers.. Like why wouldn't you want her to come? She's a girl? and your sister at that. What reason would you deny her access to your sleepover? there was just no excuse for that.

It all makes sense now... She was eye humping her friends and they probably didn't even know it, then again they probably did.. who knows?

I admit to snooping when my sister had a sleepover, that's what boys do... here was a room full of girls and the only thing keeping me from seeing them was a door. so i'd go up to the door and snoop.

My sister eventually caught on to it and didn't say anything secretive.

This is how i found out she was gay

On September the 9th, 2k16.

My sister had her 17th birthday party, and a sleepover afterwards.

My mom left the house and let the girls stay home by themselves, our sister lives on her own.

So it was just my sister, her friends, and me. My sister begged my mom to make me leave the house, so her and her friends could have the whole house to themselves, This was extremely weird to me and my mom, why would she want me to leave the house? I don't snoop anymore i only did that when i was like 11. so why??... I ended up not leaving and it made my sister angry... She would leave the house and i had no idea where she went.. Something was off..

Well she came home and sat infront of the house with a couple of her friends

they were talking, and i heard them. She left the house for a reason, she was talking about something she didn't want me to hear.. So yeah i listened to them from my window.. and i heard her say it..

She was talking to her friends about coming out and how my mom would feel about it...

I was in shock but it all made sense... she started talking about things i didn't want to hear.. about how she liked small butts on girls and not big butts.. it was all just too much for me to handle..

For my sisters next birthday party she said she was going to stay in a hotel with her friends and she asked us not to come.

My mom has no idea why she wants that... but i do..

My sister is turning 18 and is planning on losing her virginity to a girl at that party.. i know it.
