How likely is my (just starting to date) colleague likely to suggest I'm mentally disturbed for being kinky?

To make it short: my colleague is a med doctor specialized in infectiology. I work in clinical research and we started to date. I have a long history of being a very kinky person, going to femdom parties and stuff. The point is: I can't imagine being happy in a 100% vanilla relationship. Should I talk about it right away or am I at risk of being labeled :"crazy" and urged to get some psychological help?

Superb Opinion
  • A close friend is a surgeon, she is possibly one of the most kinky people I know.

I have dated a few nurses etc and lived pretty much next door to nursing college.

As a profession, they likely have more kinks thst most professions. Most do not even bat an eye lid at odd bits. Most likely due to the stress and pressures of the job

Been to quiet few parties and they are definitely not your average works party. I really would not be concerned about it, I imagine men school was an eye opener , for a lot of doctors especially being hunted by nurses etc.

Even my own doctor has had her fingers up my ass more times that some girlfriends.

introduce him to it slowly, I assume he is not the dominant party in the relationship?

    • Well he brought me coffees and cup of teas at work lol.

  • Why fret over this? If you aren't interested in pure unadulterated "vanilla" sex, it's your body. You have a right to use it in whichever way suits you. We all have a certain kind of kink or two. Some people choose to bury that desire and judge others that don't.
