It depends.

I’ve dated guys before for over a year and didn’t have sex with them. I just didn’t feel like it, I had that emotional connection to them, but I didn’t feel secure enough in the relationship to want to lose my virginity to them. They didn’t give me the security of knowing that we will in fact have a future together, it was always unknown.

I dated my current boyfriend for about 6 months before I decided to have sex with him. I trusted him a lot more, he gave me that security, and he proved to me that he wasn’t going to play games or leave me. So, I let my guard down.

I don’t see the point in having sex with someone if I’m never going to see them again or if I’m not going to be with them in marriage, etc. It wouldn’t seem enjoyable doing hookups, one night stands, or friends with benefits.

Depends. Whenever I feel I'm ready which was never months.
Although, let's just say, early sex always backfired.
I wanted to get to know them in every way, some guys thought I was too easy. Unfortunately, never occurred to them that I really liked them.
By now, I got to the point where I don't initiate anything, not even a date, and I won't have sex too early on. Most guys would say they like women who take charge, asks them out, have sex early, but in reality it is a turn of for most of them. Not only my experience but all the other girls' around me.

One guy waited years before I gave in, but we were never dating. If I'm dating you, you can expect it after a few dates, and it's up to you how far apart they're scheduled. If you're cute and non threatening and open minded, we can get this show on the road as soon as time permits. It just depends on the relationship you have with this person. The only ones who are never is cause I am not physically attracted to them or I couldn't even dip my toe in cause I probably will never want to do it again, so let's just not even go there

I started making them wait longer, and if he tried to manipulate me like that, would just move on. The most recent was from October to Feb, and we are now engaged so hoping there won't be any more starting over with that.
