I don’t think there’s a set of rules of how long SHOULD a woman wait to have sex or how long SHOULD a man wait to have sex with a woman he likes.

I think whatever they feel like.

As for me though, I might be a bit more old-fashioned, I need to have feelings and trust and I need to feel I have the same from him. I think that’s also better for bonding and feels better for both as well, to have sex with someone who is precious to you. So, I don’t think there’s need to hurry.

I also think sex is my love language and I wouldn’t like to talk in that language with someone I don’t have feelings for.

So, I guess I follow my feelings, I’ll have sex when it feels right to me, I trust my instincts.

For other women and men, they can have it anytime they want, I am not judging. Whatever works for them and makes them happy.

That is a complicated question that very much varies upon age, comfortability, length of relationship, number of previous relationships, moral compass, etc. I lost my virginity to my then boyfriend, now husband, 3 months into our relationship. I was 18, he was 19. We got married 5 years later. Does that answer the question?

No seriously (or best I can muster)... I've had very rewarding and successful long term relationships come from one night stands that evolved or "on the third date" set-ups. I really think it comes down to the individual.

Also, we can count time together or time on the calendar. "After a week" means something different if we went out for coffee, then a week later do it again (so we've known each other for two hours in person) vs for the past week we've worked 18-20 hours a day together and slept in the same tent/office/connex and have 150 hours together. Two extremes, yes, but not unrealistic.

If she wants commitment, at least until he expresses his commitment to her. I see a lot of women on here complain that they have been having sex with a man while confused or uncertain about the nature of their relationship.

I'd argue that if a guy is only committing to a girl because she's holding out on him or however you want to call it, he's not actually committing to her. If you sleep with a guy and he leaves shortly thereafter, you know why he showed up to begin with.

Here's the thing, if she's really into you, it's not gonna be long OR the sex is not gonna be good. I'd say three dates max. If it's two months the sex will be terrible etc
