How many enemas do you usually do before anal sex?

The main thing obviously to watch out for with enemas is getting a ph imbalance. Have you asked a Doctor about best approach to having a regular enema The main thing is that your partner is understanding if you do have anal. Also that if it’s bad attack, then not to expect having anal

but can you have a pH imbalance with a water enema? I'm not talking about those over the counter enemas I have an enema bulb that I usually fill with water

You need to make sure water is sterile and at room temperature. Also there are risks with using too frequently. I know people that use them fairly regularly without issues though. Personally I would check with your doctor or a Gum clinic.

Well I think using it once a month is overall better for your body which is what I've read. I think it causes harm because people are being too aggressive with putting stuff up their butts and dont realize how sensitive it actually is. As long as your body responds well to it there's no problem using it multiple times a day or weeks.
