How old were you when you had your first crush?

I took my youngest son to a birthday party today. (He is young!) And one of the little girls from his class was telling me all about how she is in love with one of the little boys from his class. I could see in her mom’s eyes she is worried about the future.

Anyways I had a huge first grade crush and even kissed him on the (chapped) lips which gave me butterflies for dayyyz. In 2nd/3rd grade I used to write notes to the boys I had crushes on and give them Halloween candy. There was a particular set of twins I had my eye on.

All this to say, I have always been pretty clear in my sexuality. And wtf were my parents thinking preaching abstinence when their masturbating 1st grader was professing love towards a classmate? 🤣🤣🤣

I don’t count this as my first kiss because it only happened once and was just a peck. My first kiss happened at the library. I was 13, he was 12 and I wasn’t expecting his tongue so he licked my teeth. 🤣

  • 10, it was this girl in my 5th year Catechism class. The folder of the girl I didn’t like was next to mine so I was supposed to sit with her, but I got there early and switched out her folder for my crush’s folder so she’d sit next to me. Mom pulled me out of Catechism because my crush was the only reason I went. Even at 10 I didn’t really care for church.

    • Nope. Two different girls. My sister knew I liked them both. She gave me two bottles of perfume to give to them. I did... in full view of evrryone. Kay asked me "why did she get more perfume than me?". To which my 4 year old Asperger's Brain said "because I like her more than you." Ellen's family moved away later that year and Kay ignored me for the next two years until her family moved away too. If only I'd picked Kay. I ran into her I'm 8th grade. She'd been held back a year. She still ignored me. Her brother joked about how I used to have a crush on his sister. The fact that he remembered that 6 years later... I guess I really hurt her feelings... when I was 4 years old... and she still held a grudge...🙄.
