i am only 18 and i have not had sex yet. I have been hanging out with this guy recently and I have been wondering how i should handle it when it comes up. Should I be upfront and tell him i’m a virgin or just pretend like i’m not? I’ve heard that loosing your virginity can be painful so I don’t want him to get turned off if I don’t tell him. What should I do?

I think it's best to be up front.

First, for honesty sake and to get his reaction and make sure he is okay with taking your virginity. I don't know why he wouldn't, but you never know about people.
