Wow, what is it with females and equating being sexy for being a whore? Having said that, if you're cute, then you're probably not going to be sexy. They are two very different things that rarely overlap. If you're cute, clothes won't cut it, you'll also have to try something with make up and/or mannerisms. Try a more mature make up to make you look less childish, for mannerisms, try being seductive instead of cute. As for clothing, I would need to see a full body picture of you to specifically know your body type, skin tone, and face. In general, I would suggest wearing something that makes you look sexy/compliments your body, not necessarily sexy itself (I've seen lingerie on woman look horrible because it clashed with their body instead of complimenting it...). Your best bet is to find an outfit that compliments your body type while also either complimenting or contrasting your skin and eyes, but not clashing with it. Also, find out what the guy want to impress likes and build off that.
Well we were taught that when we were younger we couldn’t wear red at a certain age because that’s too grown. And only sluts and whores show off their body those were the lessons when we were younger. Can’t help it if it’s stuck
I don't remember being taught that, I learned certain things form experience and observation... Actually you can help it if it stuck, you have a brain, think for yourself and ask why and how things mean what they do. That's what I did, I noticed that most people don't know that explanation when asked, so I researched and experimented and found out on my own. Just because an adult told you something when you were young, doesn't mean it's true nor that it's right or accurate. You're 26, get out in the world and experience things for yourself. It's similar to education, just because you've graduated/dropped out/finished, doesn't mean you have an excuse for not knowing things, I research things out of curiosity and continue to learn new things, skills, etc. today, despite having finished my degree back in August.

A sexy woman is a FEMININE woman. Your innate femininity, dressing in a feminine way (even very modest dress) , SMILING, and showing interest in a guy, is extremely sexy.
Sexy isn't a clothing, it's more a confidence in yourself, in your sexuality... True sexy can be sexy even wearing a potato sack...
Find your true inner sex goddess and wear it proudly and it will show..

For me, it's completely different. I am attracted to personality. A woman who is kind, loving, and compassionate becomes sexy in my eyes. Granted, I like curves, boobs, thighs, and all that good stuff, but that's "lust." Physically attraction and being tempted to have sex (or masturbate). Sexiness is something more powerful than lust.
I also think showing genuine appreciation towards a man in your life and showing him how much you care (without it needing to be prompted) is also very sexy, too.
Smiles also help a lot. Smiles are damn sexy! In fact, positivity and happiness in general is damn sexy. In my opinion, at least.
I suppose that depends upon the guy. Me, for example, a sexy woman is any woman who isn't ashamed to show off her inner geek. For romantic relationships, I have to be attracted to her personally first.

Being sexy is something you have not something you wear.
Be proactive. Say what you want and how you want it. Show off or tease the guy uou want but not everyone around you. I. e. wear a shirt where if you lean forward only your guy will see down your shirt and no one else. But look at him like you are telling him you did thst on purpose for him.
Sexy and not a whore... Is a fine line... But let's go with James bond women, sexy yet respectable

If you're going for the "Sexier in public" route, what I personally would find sexy is a passion toward something. Like say you're very passionate about social causes, or you're super into Dungeons and Dragons, make it known. Seeing the spark in someone's eyes when they get fired up is a good thing to see. This is all as far as personality goes.
As far as physical appearance, that's also a tough one as it sort of goes along with personality.
