How to fix embarrassing step-bro situation?

Our parents got married 4 months ago so my new 20 yr old step-brother (three years older than me) has been in college until his university closed for Coronavirus and now lives with us at home. Becoming friends over the past 3 weeks, I offered to help with a “pledge task” his fraternity brothers assigned him to do within 24 hours by saying I would record it for him if he wanted. With no other choice he agonized over it but... I told him if he wanted to get it done to just bite the bullet.

So we went to the beauty salon... and he freaked out when the woman asked him to remove his underwear too. He genuinely didn’t think he was going to be exposed much if at all in front of me but when she said if again, he slowly did it and was suddenly laying fully exposed. I don’t feel weird about it but he really REALLY does... he got hard twice (briefly) and when we talked on the ride home he was mad at me. He said I should have been looking away and that he caught me “staring at it” which he feels was rude. What is going on here? Have any other girls seen a male friend naked and it embarrassed him? What should I do or say... he kinda avoids me and looks away when we pass each other. A friend said she thinks he’s embarrassed I saw him get hard... is that possibly true? Why would he care? First - Your profile states you are 18 yet if your "step brother" is 20 and he is 3 years older than you, that would make you 17 and not 18.

Second - In a beauty salon, customers are being treated in separate, closed off room and have changing rooms or you change in the cabin where the treatment takes place

Third - A serious massage parlor would never allow anyone else in the treatment room besides the customer and the masseur.

Fourth - You never get fully undressed in a beauty salon. That is highly suspicious. If you need to get undressed, then towels are provided to hide the genital area.

Honestly, to me, this sounds as a spam question.
