How would you have reacted if... three question survey?

I’m sure its more common in colleges, but in high school, there were a lot of “step shows” held. The girls would step and so would the guys. But then they would have the “freakshow” or whatever the fck it was called where like a line of maybe 10-12 girls/guys would pull 10-12 girls/guys on stage to sit in a chair as they did a “clothed” lapdance. And mind you this shit started in junior high years, so like 13+ years old. I even had a lot of pregnant classmates. I only went to one of these parties in 8th grade when I thought it was solely a step show and after seeing that, that was enough for me to not want to party again. But I would’ve refused to go on stage. I was too busy being a wallflower and giving the eye to the guy who became my first boyfriend... an even bigger mistake 🤦‍♀️

For those who may not understand, step shows are hosted by certain sororities and fraternities. The college ones do more crazy one like hazing. The high school ones are technically to help you get scholarships for college, and they host fundraisers, stepshows, do community volunteer work etc. But yea a lot of stepshows go this extra freaky mile which i feel is inappropriate for teens, but hey a lot of us started having sex in high school so its not even surprising at what all is sexualized

  • What a fascinating question!

    1. Knowing the kid I was back then? I'd have declined. If for some reason the me now was single then doing that, I'd probably go on stage.

    2. Back then? I wouldn't try to stop them but I admit it would bug me. I wouldn't break up but that'd be a mental punch. Like, I'd want them to have fun and it's their body and their choice, but, still, you're together, right?

    3. I wouldn't make a scene. I'd wait quietly for the event to be over and make eye contact with my child and signal to leave. No anger, no lectures. That my love is unconditional and not attached to behavior or actions. But def a discussion. Make sure they understand the fire they're playing with. And how while reputations don't matter, they really do. And how simple grinding can lead to other things. But, again, a discussion to think about behavior and what we choose to do.

    • #2 i wouldve broken up for sure. Imagine what they’d do if their friends to them to a stripclub or sometjing else #3 damn you’re a different kinda dad lmao

    • ha, thanks! That's what my kids say too. But, guess what: they've never been embarrassed by me in front of their friends and they come to me for advice. So...

    • Yea i hate when parents try to huniliate their kids in front of people. The kids end up getting bullied about it

  • If I was single, sure I'd give it a go.

If my partner asked me before hand and I agreed to it, fine. If they just went up and did it without asking, I'd go home while they were on stage. Fuck 'em.

So long as my future kid was an adult of consenting age, I wouldn't care so long as they were being safe. I wouldn't stand there and watch it though.

    • The selection is often random so its kind of in the moment and I dont think most think to ask. You are saying adult of consenting age but read above that. This stuff starts in junior high and is very common at the 13-18 year old stepshow parties. So i doubt they’d be consenting age lmao

    • Welp, then I'd drag their ass off the stage and tell them they can do that when they're old enough to fully grasp it. What it is, the consequences of being publicly made a show of. All that.

  • 1. If I were single and younger, I would be flattered. Not sure if I would go up.
    2. I think I would be a little uncomfortable, but perhaps a discussion could happen before hand. I doubt he would do it either, not really his style.
    3. I think it would be upset if my of legal age children (none of them are of legal age right now ) were on a stage grinding or getting ground on.

    • *non legal age

    • #2 is more so say you had a boyfriend (before your husband) and he did go up there without asking if you were on with it. How would you feel?

    • A little irked :-)

  • 1, decline, something like that feels to me just cheap on something that should be a much higher form of art

    2. they can do as they wish, but i may step out as I just find it degrading

    3. roll my eyes, turn around and step out, I should have done better

    • It was cheap because it was teens hosting it lmao

    • LoL I mean the act not the event 😅

    • Thanks for MHO

  • I might have done that to tease my partner and dance with someone else while looking at his eyes.

  • 1 I’d decline.
    2. he can definitely go and whatever happened on stage, he better be ready to perform at home.
    3. 16+ I ain’t see nothing. I’ll just walk away. Underage, I think not.

    • Perform at home lol

  • #1 decline
    #2 let them do it
#3 hell nah but also this whole thing is only weird to me cause you all are way too young for this, that is something that will not happen in schools over here

    • Its not happening in the schools but its happening in the high school years at the step shows (which take place usually at convention centers and stuff)

  • 1) i would accept. It would be extremely exciting because of two things! The first thing is i have never been to a strip club before, not even when i was in LV in 2018. Second! I have never had a lapdance, that would be the reasons why i am in there at the club.

    2) i would encourage them, that's why we are here 🤷‍♂️. I take my girlfriend to a strip club and get mad because she got picked? Nah! That does not make aby sens.

    3) i am a parent, going to a strip club, i should know better 🤣. I wouldn't be surprised 🤣

    • This is not a strip club. It was a soro/frat party for high schoolers

    • Did you not read the description at all

    • I am really off these days. I am really Sorry 😔

  • Maybe Oz vs US vernacular but I take step shows to be a form of dance like line dancing.

    1. At 13 I would have been far too shy. Now I'd be what clothed?

    2. It would be embarrassing to stop it. If she did, it would be due cause for dismissal.

    3. I wouldn't like it. I would hope I had a relationship where it could be discussed. I would understand that there would be peer pressure to do this and I would probably first try approaching from the angle that what your peers want you to do is not necessarily what you should.

    • #1 yea they start at 13 but go through college. Anyone of any age could attend, that's what made it weird. It was steps shows with adults watching them step but adults also watching the freak show portion #3 yea peer pressure was definitely a thing. Most girls on stage had their hands covering their face the whole time because it was filmed and theybwere embarassed to be in front of a crowd

    • "adults also watching the freak portion" is weird & freaky to me.

    • I agree. I never thought about it til now. But yea they were at the step shows. It was held in the colosseum Where we have rodeos

    • Show All
  • Question first. Would I/girlfriend/child give or receive the dance?
    1. Either way, I'd accept.
    2. I'd probably let her enjoy it, unless it gets out of hand.
    3. This is a tricky one. But, I probably wouldn't mind. The problem Is, I won't know until I have a kid.

    • I doubt they’d pull the adults on stage considering the ones doing the dance were under 18.

    • Reasonable. Then, if I was the same age the ones dancing, I'd accept.

  • They never had these when I wass in high school. or in college for that matter. I dont see the point.

    • Its supposed to just be a stepshow. But they add in extra stuff

  • Giiiiirl. I been to parties and the ques would come in and i always look away so they don’t try to pick me up up and start humping me..

    1. I would decline

    2. I’d let them have fun

    3. it’d be awkward. I wouldn’t be mad. I’d be grossed out.

    • Lol yes its like a deathwish 😂 dont choose me

  • I’m not really sure?

  • I never heard of this.

1 How would you react if you as a single person were asked to come on stage? Would you accept of decline?

    I suppose so.

#2 How would you react if your boyfriend or girlfriend was in the room and they accepted to go on stage? Would you try to stop them? Breakup? Let them have fun?

I'd honestly feel uncomfortable, but if that's the extent of it, fine.

#3 How would you react if you were parent and walked in and found your teen child grinding or being grinded on on stage?

    I've seen worse.

    • Have you ever been to a stepshow?

    • I never heard of one before. Hence the first sentence 😅

  • 1. I would most likely decline.

    2. It would be a little uncomfortable…. My mood / state of mind after would depend on the activities occurred / mood of those activities.

    3. It would depend on my kid’s age….. a teenager or below…. I wouldn’t be too happy. 18+, they are an adult. If I had/have any issues I would talk with them after.

    • #3 these parties started at age 13

    • Totally understandable…. as a teenager I would think it’s a fun party but as an adult with kids, probably not a good idea.

  • No idea what any of this is, events in college? Sure, we had pizza after exam week with a bunch of friends, that's it. Our course had no women.

    • This didn't start in college though

    • Christian highschool, in a smaller village. Nothing happened there.

    • We have christian schools here too and they were at the stepshows 😂 When i say “in high school” im saying like high school years, not at the actual school

    • Show All
  • I would go up on stage.

she can accept the invitation to go on stage and have fun too. (I trust her and I am not jealous)

if kids are of age then it is fine. If not I am going on stage too with a baseball bat…..

    • A baseball bat 😂 well get ready because the kids were not of age and neither were the steppers

  • I'm single i would accept the offer hot girl grinding on me sounds interesting.

    • Haha

    • call me weird 😂

    • your my takes & questions look very interesting. Mind if i answer them i don't want to blow up your phone or oc with notifications

  • I would go on stage, have no problem wit my girl going on stage. Not sure what I would do if I was a parent.

    • Are you a parent?

    • No, I am not

  • None of that happened when I was in high school

    #1 I would decline

#2 The decision she makes will depend on what I’m gonna do

#3 Nobody gave me a reason to fight in my life but that will change

    • I take it you didn't go to a stepshow

    • Nope I haven’t

  • Pfft. Wouldn't catch me dead at such a weird shindig much less partake.

    • Lmao

  • #1 How would you react if you as a single person were asked to come on stage? Would you accept of decline? Id have to decline if it was a large crowd, small group.. maybe I can be a little shy.

#2 How would you react if your boyfriend or girlfriend was in the room and they accepted to go on stage? Would you try to stop them? Breakup? Let them have fun? I would be enthusiastic if the were to go on stage! I would not try to stop them, nor breakup with them.. Have all the fun they wanted!

#3 How would you react if you were parent and walked in and found your teen child grinding or being grinded on on stage? I may not be so willing to watch.. just because im a parent

  • This was a thing where you at?

    1. Decline

    2. Probably try to stop them

    3. You homeschooled now

    • Yes it was sadly fraternities/sororities are normally a college thing but there are highschools in New Jersey, Mississippi, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Puerto Rico and Phillipines
