If your really ready to have sex prove it to him by not just talking about but showing some action. He wants to have sex probably but not just on his accord and not just for pity of him having to wait so long to get. You know your man best so any tried and true method you use to have sex with during "nap time" use it.

With my last child (my third) we was able to wait the 6 weeks and more to have sex. With so much going on with the children, work and accustomed to not having sex his sex drive is just at an all time low. However I wouldn't be able to resist what you did for him. Just openly talk to him about it. Communication is important.
I get nervouse trying to talk about this kind if stuff with him. The last time i said something about sex hurting he fussed at me saying he'd cut his penis off and never have sex again.

Maybe he thinks you don't want it? You guys are married - you should be able to talk about this with each other, so just ask him. Or initiate sex yourself next time you want it.
I ask for it, he tells me we will do something later. Most of the time he'd rather be at the pool hall.
