  • If I were to believe that, I'd have to believe that this guy is a lizard:

I agree that trans rights are human rights, but I don't agree that trans women are women, what's your opinion?

And I'd have to believe that this woman is a cat:

I agree that trans rights are human rights, but I don't agree that trans women are women, what's your opinion?

It's exactly the same argument: these people "feel like they were born in the wrong body" and they've altered their appearance to look like who they think they are, and they want people to refer to them the way they see themselves.

I believe that all of these people have a right to live their lives the way they want to (as long as they aren't harming others), and they have a right to dress and appear as they want to, and I respect them as human beings - but that doesn't mean I'm going to call the top guy a reptile, or the bottom woman a feline, and I'm not calling a trans woman a woman, because THAT'S NOT FACTUALLY TRUE.

And to argue otherwise, you'd also have to make the identical argument for these people I pictured here, and once you realize that, the whole thing is obviously a farce.

  • The only time it matters is in sports participation. We should stop calling them "women's sports" and call them the X Games. If you have a Y chromosome you are ineligible for the X games and have to enter the open competition.

  • What are trans rights? What right do these people want that they don't have?

  • C because a sex change is impossible, they not true women, they can't give birth.

  • I am happy to respect pronouns etc. But i do feel that trans women in female sports and safe spaces just doesn't add up and in the latter case can be abused by abusive men to put women in danger.

  • I have had a trans friend for ten years of my life. From the few conversations we have had about this over the years, I know she, formally he, feels in her heart of hearts that she is a woman and is happiest dressing as, feeling like, acting as, andor being a woman. I respect her thoughts, I use the pronouns and new name she wishes to be called, I try to hear her, I do, but for me, in my mind, biology, science, and nature do not make her a biological woman in the way, I am defined as a woman and it has nothing to do with a disrespect of her as a person. If her thoughts and wishes are to be heard and respected, then so are mine---which thankfully, we've agreed long ago to agree to disagree on this point, but that bit will not change for me. In the scheme of things though, I'm not going to spend hours, days, or years debating what is or isn't in this case. She is free to live her life as she sees fit and she isn't hurting anyone so me feeling the way I do about the situation isn't going to change her mind nor do I care to become an a-hole who tries to continuously force my opinion down her throat, so do you and be happy. There are far more pressing issues at hand at the moment like oh say, a little old pesky pandemic.
