That's how I felt, i just wanted my first time in a bed and nothing fancy, and that's what I did. It ended up being a one night stand with a random dude, two years down the line and I don't regret it at all it's just a learning experience. I believe if you think about it and ask yourself if you'll regret it and you say no then I doubt you'll suddenly will later.
Most people say that cus the guy might not be slow/careful considering it's your first time. And the first time might not have enough foreplay to make it nice for you, as long as you make sure that happens it should be fine.
