I'm Muslim but would like to experience bacon. Worth it?

I'm Pakistani but am in Australia for my studies. My room mates all eat this bacon and when they eat this they make a face like an orgasm and tell me I should try. I say no cause I'm muslim and Allah doesn't allow it and it is said if I eat it I will go to hell but I am doubting this. What god would deny people something so good? It is making me question my faith. Is it a temptation of the devil or should I go through with it and experience bacon. Thank you for helping in advance.
Even if you did go to hell it would be worth it for bacon

  • Bro... with all due respect to faith... bacon is one of the greatest things I've ever come in contact with. So, I don't think you'll regret it if you decide to try it. Lol

  • If this is true, it sounds to me like they're making fun of you for being Muslim. Ignore them. Don't let people pressure you into eating something you don't want to eat.

(What does this have to do with sexual behaviour, by the way? Bacon is good. It's not THAT good.)

  • Of all the sins that one could commit, would that not be one of the least offensive? Wouldn't lying to others be a greater sin? I haven't read the Koran, but aren't some sins forgiveable?

I work with Muslims from Egypt who come to America to attend business meetings and go to strip clubs at night, so I'm sure you wouldn't be the greatest sinner.

    • When you put it that way, once shouldn't harm

  • Bacon is overrated. There, I said it.

  • While I'm not telling you to disobey your religion, you also have to make your own choices, weigh the positives to the negatives.

    P. S: It used to be against our religious beliefs to eat pork as well in the old testament ( I am a Christian by the way ) but the rebirth of Christ and the new testament changed all of that.

As for what Bacon taste like well it's very good, but fatty defiantly not something I would advise eating all the time if you do try it, it also might make you a little sick at first if you have never eaten it at all. So do it in small amounts.

  • It's salty and fatty, those are the only reasons for not eating bacon. Why people eat it? Because it's also damn tasty because of those same reasons. As an atheist, I also find it a bit humorous that bacon is the one that is testing your faith, but totally understand why.

Have you tried to find a reason why pork is forbidden to Muslims? "Because Qur'an says so" seems a bit weak argument. Why does it say so? I have heard arguments that it's because pork is unclean but I am yet to understand what makes pigs especially unclean compared to so many other animals. Are Wild Boars also considered as pigs? How about Warthogs? Sure the argument could be that it's forbidden because it's unhealthy, but shouldn't all the unhealthy food items be in the same group and just "thou shalt not consume anything that is unhealthy"?

  • Don't eat it and there is a chance you will find heaven after death...
Eat it and you will be in heaven

    • So you would say the taste is heavenly?

    • Well, if you consider it, depending on your choice bro.. They say it's heavenly if it's made perfectly Leelee is too short don't waste it on religion, I don't.. I eat meat too...

    • Taste it once with one of your friends , if you like it you can change your religion, if you don't you will never want to taste bacon...

  • Go for it. I've always thought of guidelines, rather than hard rues. Live you're life how you want, bacon is freaking delicious.

    • *thought of religion as guidelines

    • I'm leaning towards this

    • Its important to remember that religious scripts were written thousands of years ago in very different cultures. They should not be taken word for word accurate

    Bhaisaab, tu mazaak karnay wala!

    • I highly doubt this is a genuine question.

  • Can i make 2 questions?

    Why doesn't Allah allowed it?
Why will you go to hell?

    What are the reasons?

    • Because to us pigs are seen as dirty bottom feeders so its a sin to eat them and if we sin we burn in hell

    • Is there other animals you guys don't eat?

    • She'll fish but people aren't as strict on that

  • I never ate pork products. Sometimes I get curious and feel like trying pepperoni pizza or bacon stuff too but I never did. I did try turkey bacon though and it tastes like crap. I had it from IHOP for reference...

  • Eat turkey bacon it is better and less fatting

    • Somebody down the answers said Turkey bacon was a poor substitute for the taste of the real thing

    • they dont know what they are talking about I love turkey bacon way more than pork. So my opinion is that just stick with turkey you will be fine

    • I don't like turkey. One of my friends gave me some at Christmas and I did not like

  • First I don't believe in what you do, second your friends are assholes. A real friend wouldn't do what they do, even though I don't believe the same things, I would never ridicule what you believe in. Honestly fuck your friends, not about bacon cause it's great. Your friends are jerks, honestly I wouldn't do that to a friend!

  • Pork is forbidden in ALL three Abrahmic religions. Only Christians chose to fool themselves.

  • I had that same struggle with my religion and not eating meat on Fridays. My opinion is, religion should be about being a good person, and good to all other humans. If you're evil and do terrible things, you'll go to hell. If you eat a certain kind of meat, who cares? You most certainly shouldn't be punished with eternal damnation for eating a certain meat

    • This is what I hope is the truth and seems most logical to me

    • I just can't imagine you get to the afterlife and whoever your God is says to you, "Well you lived a decent life, made people around you happy and never murdered or raped. Buuuut there is that one time you ate bacon. So... to Hell you go!" Just seems ridiculous!!

    • Hahaha yes it does sound dumb

  • Nothing wrong with bacon, it's actually one of the best creations of God! what is wrong here is your hateful, violent religion. With all friendly concern, I suggest you drop that cult and switch over to Christianity, the most human and respectful of all the religions.

  • just eat it. i never understood why pork is taboo for some people

    • Because it is forbidden by Allah in the Quran

    • but why

    • I don't know, this is why I'm questioning my faith. It is said pigs are dirty and diseased but that seems to be more a living conditions thing. I heard the pork in Australia is treated very well and is very clean and good quality
