yeah it's ok. I mean, I'm usually a bit sweeter when I tell a guy I want somethin serious, but if you made it clear to him before and he still insisted, that response it's fine. Doesn't even worth the time to debate on it, he's on a different page than you so move on. It's tough, though, I've been there. I really liked this guy, he was very handsome, smart, easy going, etc, but he only wanted sex and I tried to get him to like me for who I was and see if something more could happen (without sleeping with him right away) but he didn't wanted anything serious so we both moved on. It sucks but we weren't on the same page so... But he wasn't texting me in the middle of the night or anything, that seems a bit rude to me so I think you did the right thing.

Well, because he really thinks you are cool. But who knows what he's going through right now? Maybe he is recovering from a break up, lost someone, is trying to focus on him and doesn't have time for a relationship or simply has a fear of commitment. Maybe you guys could have had an amazing relationship but it's not the right time. To quote How I Met Your Mother, "timing's a b*tch". It's good that you left things in a civil way after that. Don't loose his number or delete him from social media and move on. Who knows, maybe after some time has passed you two will find each other again and it will be the right time (either for a relationship because he finally wants one or you are in a different moment in your life and go for the no strings attatched thing).
You weren't firm enough in my opinion. Whether you participate in a booty call from either direction is up to you. It's your body and your spirit and you do what is best for you.
