Speaking from personal experience, I think men are embarrassed to admit it because they think it's gay and emasculating. I will speak from my own perspective. I don't consider myself bi, as I have no desire to have sex with men, and gay stuff in general disgusts me. However, I do enjoy seeing straight men's "bodies". There are many reasons for this,
1. To compare him to myself
2. I get turned on seeing other people get turned on, regardless of their gender. I'm always interested in what turns other people on
3. When he's with a girl, I always like to imagine myself in HIS shoes. Like I wish I had a girl like that, or "if HE got a girl so can I", or just seeing the girl turned on from being with HER type of man.
