If a man releases his sperm in a swimming pool what are the chances of a woman getting pregnant?

A senior child protection official in Indonesia is facing calls to resign after she reportedly claimed women could get pregnant from swimming in the same pool as men with “an especially strong type of male sperm”.

She said: “There is an especially strong type of male sperm that may cause pregnancy in a swimming pool. Even without penetration, men may become sexually excited [by women in the pool] and ejaculate, therefore causing a pregnancy.

“If women are in a phase where they are sexually active, [such a pregnancy] may occur. No one knows for sure how men react to the sight of women in a swimming pool,” she added

Is it really possible what she saying?

  • I understand why she is being asked to resign, she obviously lacks the education necessary for the job she is in. She obviously has never has basic sex Ed.

Even if a guy was jerking off in the pool while women where there unless he's got mutant sperm that's not going to happen.

I see gorgeous women in the pool all the time but i don't prematurely ejaculate in the pool and my sperm doesn't swim up into every woman's vagina.

  • Sperm couldn't survive with the temperature of pool water. When it's released from the body, it doesn't live long. Yeah, I would say what happened to that girl is impossible. Plus, swimming pools use chemicals, so the chlorine or whatever else they use would kill it once it hit. Some of these stories in the news! lol

  • An Olympic swimming pool is 2500, 000 litres. One ejactulate is 5ml. There's about 4 billion men on earth. How many swimming pools of cum are filled per day?

    • How many Olympic swimming pools are on Earth? Also which pool size are you asking about? Need more information to generate an accurate pool number per day

  • What she is saying is absolute baloney! The chlorine in the pool would kill sperm almost instantly. The odds of a sperm migrating through the water, into the vaginal canal, and reaching a waiting egg are infinitesimally small. This is just some BS she made up.

  • I mean maybe not impossible, but doubtful. Has it ever happened? Nope

  • Probably really low.

As Swimming pools usually contain chlorine water, which would kill sperm quickly.

Also even when Sperm can swim (or travel) quite well they are not meant to swim for more than a couple centimeters, so even in a small pool with them sitting site by site, its highly unlikely the sperm survives long enough to reach the uterus.

  • Zero.

  • the "place" Indonesia and the "excited " reveal the agenda to encourage separate swimming.

  • There might be a small possibility if the woman's genitals made contact with the sperm shortly after the man ejaculated. However, the chlorine in a typical pool would quickly kill the sperm, unless it was a pool of natural (ex. Ocean) water that isn't chlorinated.

  • As close to zero as possible. But why is a guy jacking off into a pool?

  • If you have good swimmers with good eyesight it can happen. My swimmers are strong but they always just end up in the pool filter.

  • If the pool is chlorinated there is virtually no chance that sperm can survive in the water long enough to impregnate a woman. If the pool is not the chance becomes very very slim.

  • I would think it is about zero

  • The chance is zero. It is physically impossible.

  • This is the absolute dumbest thing I have ever heard.

  • There's only one way to find out

  • Zero. You're just as likely as getting impregnated by putting his socks and your underwear in the same wash.

  • That was 3 years ago, but she was still wrong, it's not going to happen.

  • The chemicals in the pool will kill the sperm

  • It's more the creep bragged about it! Then it happened!

He would be humiliated any where else that has half a brain!

Indians are dumb and so useless workers! Just lazy hateful things!

  • Zero because the chlorine would kill it.

  • Zero. Sperm can't survive in chorinated water.
