If for whatever reason, you couldnt do the deed, would you issue your partner a hall pass?

I'm not talking about the movie above, but I saw this in a serious drama. You're married, and in love, but something bad happens, and it's beyond your control. Do you want/expect your partner to go without?

Apparently I have to clarify what "couldn't" means. They were young, and because of a tragic accident, he became paralyzed for life. He was dealt a really shitty hand, but he didn't want his wife to be dealt the same. It was a very hard decision he had to make, but he gave her the pass. And he just prayed she wouldn't leave him, because he loved her. There are no right or wrong answers, but please don't say she was cheating.

  I've talked to thousands of people online, and I've came to the conclusion that women are 1000 times more likely to cheat, rather than accept a hall pass. It's all about guilt. And the hall pass brings on way more guilt than cheating. I'm not in any way saying that guys don't cheat, but I'm just giving you my take on the psychology of this. It doesn't really make sense, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. I respect and thank you for your answer. This is mostly a thought experiment, and it's a really hard choice to make.

  I would somehow figure out a way to give all of my money to the person who would kill me. I would be better off, and so would my husband. I was just telling my brother about the assisted suicide clinics in Europe. I hear that you have to be Covid vaccinated before they kill you Hmmm Makes perfect sense.

  I'm really confused by this post. I thought we were talking about a disability that ruins sex, not your entire life? As a guy I probably wouldn't be able to get an erection so I would understand her wanting to have PIV with somebody out there - but (not to get too morbid here) so long as my eyes and my mouth still work I'm staying in the game. Of course, if she's going to have other partners I would expect to have that privilege as well.

  @Ogopogo In the movie, the husband's mouth worked just fine, and his wife loved climbing onboard. But sex is much more than that. It's also about the build-up. Holding hands on the beach. Dancing is an amazing aphrodisiac. Going out to dinner. Going to a wine tasting party... etc The husband didn't want his wife to go through life missing out on all the simple gifts out there. I don't know. There are no right or wrong answers to this question, and I would hate to be in that position. I can't even imagine how horrible that would be.

  Yes, he was paralyzed from the neck down, and his tongue worked fine. They had one of those hospital beds set up at home, and it had some kind of rail above. She would grab onto that, and lower herself onto his face. He loved that, and she loved that. But sex is much more than that, it's about the build up. Like taking a walk on the beach, or maybe just being next to the campfire together. She was missing out on so much, but he wanted her to have that.

  Thank you for your opinion. It's a very difficult thing to digest. I saw a sad movie about it. The guy was paralyzed from an accident. He loved her enough to give her the pass. She didn't want it, but he insisted.
