America doesn't care about mass shootings. But this latest one is pretty interesting.

The shooter's (WHITE) parents divorced when he was an infant (strike one; good job murrrican "family values").

Both parents have criminal records. Of course any human can overcome these obstacles but this kid had the odds stacked against him from the start.

Now I read he's (allegedly?) non-binary? Whether true or not, I've always wondered how the conservatives view the legitimate cases of people who are born non-binary. Conservatives obviously like to assign a *gender* right at birth, based on junk between someone's legs, so how do they sort that out?

Anyway, no sympathy for the end result this person chose with murdering random people, and he got roughed up good and the worst is yet to come. So be it. He earned it.

But dang. Grow up in murrrican society as non-binary, with a society that doesn't understand you with constant bullying, with trash parents from the time you were an infant. Good luck pulling up your bootstraps in those circumstances.

I’ve be very concerned for the people who were injured or killed, and normally I’m against parents who disown their children, but I’d be disowning my son immediately if he did that and I’d be questioning why I didn’t pick up on any signs of him being a killer before he hurt anyone.

To be honest I'd be horrified over what they did while being angry at myself for failing them as a parent, but sometimes parents have no control how their kids turn out and behave. If the police/courts done their job this maybe wouldn't have happened as the shooter was arrested for previously for bomb threat. One of the many reasons we need universal healthcare ASAP, so people have full access to mental health treatment. A long with access to mental healthcare, we need changes to the mental healthcare system so people seeking mental health treatment, aren't demonized and treated as psychotic monsters.
