Given women have largely abandon the average guy (as evident by recent report of 64% of men being single under 30), do you think more men will be open to dating transgender women as technology improves and more of them become passable?

I wouldn’t! What it comes down to for me is that no amount of man-made technology can change what is natural and what God created. Even if a man’s body could be changed boy to XX, I still believe in the spiritual and therefore would always see the spiritual side of the person occupying the body as being a man.
So many younger men are single nowadays not because real women reject them, but because they don’t know how to treat a woman or even communicate effectively to let her know they are interested. Even worse, most younger men aren’t really even interested in women or having a relationship. They just want the benefits. Of course no self-respecting normal woman is going to give a man benefits without the commitment of love and respect.
Until younger men to learn to gain some maturity and responsibility, put the video games down, learn the value of hard work, learn how to be masculine and protective, chivalrous, and not see a woman has a sexual object but as a real human being, frustrations and single men will continue to be the way of things unfortunately. And women will continue to explore alternative possibilities in order to find family and true love such as plural marriage and so on.
No it's definitely has to do with women rejecting and treating men badly. Social media has allowed women to indulge fully in their hypergamy and they only want the best men that they think they deserve. It doesn't help that both men and women gas light the average girl into thinking that she is a 9/10 when she is really a 5/10. It also doesn't help that rich and/or good looking guys will simp for girls if they think she will drop the draws for them easily.
Blame is placed both ways. Many of which you mention. I’m just addressing the aspect of where men fall short.
but blame really should be placed more on women though. Women were the ones who walked away from the gender arrangement that has largely kept society stable for thousands of years.
I think in general - yes. Imagine a bunch of guys stuck on an uninhabited island, and there is only one transgender woman. These guys will kill each other just to get laid. They might tolerate the urge of having sex for months, maybe even years, but eventually, one of them will surrender, and then another one and another one, etc. Same thing can happen in real world.
Throwing my two cents in here... I don't think it's only about 'passing' - some trans-women don't go through with bottom surgery and that's completely fine. However, you can't expect straight men being attracted to you with that physical attribute and that's totally fine, too. Some are open to that, some aren't - simply bc they're straight and not into dick. Bi-Guys, however, are probably be more open-minded unless they do have a heavy preference toward one gender.
I said no because I feel like most men wouldn’t especially if they are truly straight. They might be attracted initially but as soon as it came out would probably end that relationship. However if that same guy is anywhere on the spectrum of bisexuality he probably would.
