But in a committed relationship, women do initiate sex. Lots of sex until men have to coin a word "nymphomaniac" just to describe them.
Hence my conclusion is, reproduction depends on both the genders. And to be successful, a sperms from the male must fertilise an egg from the female.
This makes equal responsibility on both genders. Your question cannot stand.
Sex WILL happen and is initiate by both the genders as long as they are physically reproductive. (This means over a few decades of their lives, which implies engaging in thousands of sex sessions, where both genders will mathematically initiates sex, approximately the same number of times.)
Women like sex, the results can be a bit more severe for them though. Men can impregnate multiple women in a short period of time. It takes 9 months after a ccx woman is pregnant before she can give birth again. Because of possibly getting pregnant, a woman is more selective regarding sex.
