I'd think in some cases not knowing someone well might lend itself to less satisfying sex because you don't have a feel for what the other person likes versus slowly getting to know what is stimulating to your partner and vice versus.

As someone else posted having an environment where both people are thinking about mutual satisfaction will help make for better sex. Or you will find out early on before the actual sex happens you are not on the same wavelength when it comes to what mutual satisfaction means.

The only time I felt bad about sex was when I knew that the man really wasn't the right person for me and didn't he really care for me the way I wanted. I wouldn't say the sex was bad physically the feeling after sex made it bad sex.
