Be grateful that they'd planned adead for this contingency, and show them the online video. Unless, of course, they didn't, and they didn't listen to my suggestion to do so (seriously, how do you NOT think of that?); then I'd probably go with "Sir/miss, this is a Wendy's". Then drop a smoke bomb and escape in the confusion.

It depends what the demo was for... if very sexual, I’d decline and point them to websites, videos., etc.

i have been in a sex shop where they were all very demo friendly. One of the managers wanted to help me try stuff on... I had to get rid of him!

It's pretty normal to touch, handle, and test toys against the palm of your hand. They don't sell display units where I go.
