Girls, if your partner gained weight (6-7 pounds over the ideal weight) would you ask him to lose weight?

Superb Opinion

  • Not at all. As someone else said that little weight is usually a fluctuation or at most so little that it’s barely noticeable.

Obviously also depends if it’s muscle they’ve gained etc but assuming it’s an unhealthy lifestyle then anything above 20-25 pounds would become noticeable and anything more than 30 I’d be a little concerned as I prefer my partner fit

Also depends how tall. This is assuming they’re relatively tall as weight gets spread more evenly. If they’re short then a smaller weight gain would naturally be more noticeable

  • No one really notices that little weight. Eating out for a week might cause that fluctuation. If it's like 20 pounds I might if he has existing health issues which will be made worse. For me personally It's not about weight but are they eating right vs weight. I have a normal weight but my cholestrol is crazy high and it's been that way for at least 30 years.
Post Note: Everyone needs some grace right now. It's been some rough times over the last several years.

  • 6-7 is nothing so no. He gains like 60-70 pounds then maybe I'd say something

  • No I wouldn't

  • Only way would worry about my partner's weight is if it became unhealthy. We all have flaws, that don't fit our partners ideal preference.
Sometimes a little weight gain can't be fully controlled
