In a 1960s movie, it appears to be ok to pat a girls butt to get her attention, how does that compare to today and what's today's version of that?

  • It seems to be sexist because women go butt patting a lot at clubs and no man seems to care. The 1960s was a time where people didn't take sexual issues into account and didn't think it was harassment as men then didn't harass women much.

  • That's the movies. I grew up in the 60s and that was not a common practice except sometimes between people involved in an intimate relationship. With #metoo, I'd be extremely careful.
