In Honor of Femininity: The 5 Things I Love Most About Women

In Honor of Femininity: The 5 Things I Love Most About Women

I have been accused of sexism and misogyny multiple times by females on this website. And even though those claims could not be further from the truth, I thought it would be in good taste to vindicate myself by composing a tribute to femininity. That is, a celebration of what it means to be a woman. So in honor of femininity, I have taken the liberty of listing the five things that I love most about women.

#5) They are Cute

It is no secret that women are cute. But what I think most women do not realize is the extent of just how cute they are. Like seriously, women are ridiculously cute. Not only physically with their petite frames and generally smaller, daintier bodies, but even in the way that they behave and in the things that they do.

Women are just inherently cute creatures and that is that. If we view you as oversized children, know that it is not in malice but in love. You are just so cute that your presence evokes a desire to nurture and pamper. It makes us want to take care of you, like a fragile, delicate little flower. Furthermore, the way so many women even in their 20s still sleep with stuffed animal plushies is just so adorable. Girly is cute. To be a woman means to be cute. Femininity is inherently cute, and it is one of the reasons I love women.

#4) They are Sexy

Women are sexy, obviously. The rampant male desire for sex is proof of this. There is just something inherently powerful and glorious about female sexuality that warrants respect. Even among religious circles like myself, the admonition for women to remain celibate until marriage is not rooted in a negative view of female sexuality, but rather a positive one. It is because we recognize how valuable it is, and believe that its true potential can only be actualized within the confines of marriage. Therefore anything less is viewed as degrading. Female sexiness goes beyond just the body and looks, though obviously that is a huge part of it (I mean, have you seen just how sexy the female form is buck naked?). It comes also from personality and the subtle little things women do that are wildly sexy, even if they do not realize it.

In Honor of Femininity: The 5 Things I Love Most About Women

Women are sexy. I'm getting aroused just thinking about this stuff. Women should be proud of their beauty, and for that matter value their sexuality. It is perhaps one of the most precious aspects of their being.

The sexiest woman in the world to me is Marisa Miller

I love her because she is blonde and a Bay Area native like myself. But all woman are inherently sexy in one way or another (yes, even fatties, at least to the men who love them). Sexiness is, well, sexy for lack of a better term. Femininity is inherently sexy. And that is why I love it. I love beautiful women.

#3) They are Selfless

If the two preceding items on my list were 'lower,' then this marks the transition into the 'higher' items. The third thing I love most about women is the fact that they are selfless. That is, they will always put others first even at their own detriment. It is amazing really. Women embody the true nature of Christian love--voluntary, selfless sacrifice--to an extent that puts the rest of us to shame.

This is perhaps rivaled only by men at war, who will often sacrifice their own lives for a fallen comrade.

In Honor of Femininity: The 5 Things I Love Most About Women

Yet even so, they compose only a tiny fraction of the male population whereas most females express this sort of love on a daily basis. From taking care of their children

In Honor of Femininity: The 5 Things I Love Most About Women

...to slaving away in order to maintain a clean house

In Honor of Femininity: The 5 Things I Love Most About Women

...And yet still finding time to make sure that they look good and are "available" for you at night

In Honor of Femininity: The 5 Things I Love Most About Women

Women are just extremely selfless creatures. They will always put themselves last and others first, because again they understand the Christian connection between love and self-sacrifice to an extent that most males do not. They are self emptying creatures. The downside to this is that sometimes women can be so selfless that they allow themselves to be abused and/or cheated on, because they still love their husband and cling to the hope that he will change.

This is how many women are lured into prostitution and/or lying in order to cover up the criminal activity of their pimps/drug dealers, because in their mind they are just doing what needs to be done to protect the person they love. Even if the person they love is nothing but a manipulative, vagrant lowlife warranting nothing but a bullet to the forehead.

The fact that women are so selfless and in tune with this love means that we males have to shoulder a great responsibility to ensure that we do not take advantage of them. It is a great privilege and honor to have a woman love you so selflessly. Women do a lot for us, from taking our last name to mothering our children and essentially accepting a voluntary yoke of submission. And I am grateful for that. Whereas most males are losers afraid of commitment, I look forward to marriage and fulfilling my obligations as a husband. After all, it is the least I could do in return for all of the great things that women do for us.

#2) They are Nurturing

Similar to what I said about selflessness, women are very nurturing creatures. That is, they have an innate instinct to take care of others and and help those in need. The ultimate example of this is obviously motherhood. The way women nurture their children is beautiful. The selfless way in which they do it is heartbreaking. I still remember when I snubbed my mother in Jr. High because I was embarrassed of how young she was compared to the other students' parents, yet she was always still there for me even when I did not deserve it. It brings tears to my eyes, even to this day.

From being mothers

In Honor of Femininity: The 5 Things I Love Most About Women

...to being nurses

In Honor of Femininity: The 5 Things I Love Most About Women

Women are nurturing. Their ability to console the conflicted is invaluable. Whereas most males could care less about the emotional well-being of others, women do care and for that matter are greater at providing comfort than their male counterparts. This is especially true for slightly older women, like those from the age of 26 to 34. Even the most attractive, classiest ones still have a soft spot for crying losers such as myself, and are there to provide comfort. Thus the nurturing instinct of women is one of the greatest glories of femininity, and therefore the second thing I love most about women.

But Most of All,

#1) They are Emotionally Receptive

Congratulations upon arriving at the first and most important item on this list. Yes, the thing I absolutely love the most about women is the fact that they are emotionally receptive to an extent that puts males to shame. There is simply no contest whatsoever. Women are greater at perceiving emotions and particularly sorrow than men are. This is perhaps THE defining characteristic of femininity to me, what it means to truly be a woman. This item stands for itself, warranting no illustrations because no illustration could sufficiently do this point any justice.

Whether it is consoling a man on the verge of a suicide or expressing some little bit of kindness to an addict at rock bottom who needs to feel loved even if by a random stranger, women are capable of understanding emotion and doing what needs to be done. Not just on the empirical level like males where our idea of consolation is providing logical solutions, but on the personal level. Heart to heart. Women are there. They know what to do (or not do) to help. And sometimes just being there in itself is enough to greatly mitigate our pain. This is the most beautiful aspect of femininity, even if it can sometimes be frustrating in light of how overemotional females appear. But I would not trade it for the world. It is essential for our well-being, and perhaps the only reason all men have not just killed themselves yet.

In Conclusion,

Ladies, you are greatly appreciated. Even if we do not always express our gratitude the way we should, know that we love you and are dependent upon you in more ways than you realize. Do not fall into the delusion that you are unwanted or unneeded, because as men we greatly want you and greatly need you. I reiterate, you are appreciated.

The things I have listed are, among countless other things, the reason why we love you so much. It is why men have been willing to fight and die, perform grueling manual labour, and all-around endure the poop end of the stick in things for the sake of your own wellbeing. Because we value you, treasure you for that "incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God" in the words of St. Peter the Apostle (1 Pet 3:4). It is why in the wedding service of the Orthodox Church, men are taught "even if it becomes necessary for you to give your life for her [the wife], yes, and even to endure and undergo suffering of any kind, do not refuse" and to treat their wives with untiring love "even if you see her belittling you, or despising and mocking you," (St. John Chrysostom, "Homily on Marriage").

And while feminism tends to overlook these things for the sake of their cultural Marxist narrative of men as vicious oppressors throughout the ages, the truth of the matter is that men have also made a lot of sacrifices for women throughout the ages. So again, ladies, we love you, and appreciate you.

    ...
To be a woman means to be cute."

Uh, yeah, fuck that shit. (I said that in my cutest voice.)

Some men actually want a WOMAN who will challenge them to become a better person, who will call them out on their shit when it's appropriate, and who can stand up for herself, her family, and her principles.

And some boys want "oversized children".

    Ugh.

Aren't you the same dude who wants a dominant woman, though? How the hell is this supposed to square with *that*?

    • Don't worry, you're still an oversized child at 41 apparently hahaha.

    • @violettasanchez Yeah, and I'm six-foot-two of cute, dainty petiteness. Brb making pouty lips and jazz hands! Full out!

  • So basically, what you 'love' so much about women is their ability to serve you unquestionably: domestically and sexually. You don't actually want a hot woman with brains, just somebody that fits an orthodox stereotype of femininity and will be your ash tray even if you happen to be some narcissistic, abusive, drunkard.

    • By the way, this traditional b. s. is the reason so many women act like dumb, spoiled pampered bimbos that sit around waiting to be approached and then when you go over to them, play all of this hot and cold b. s. mind games.

    • Absolutely. Screw feminism and their (re) definition of the feminine to fit their agenda.

    • Lol so us feminist women can't define feminity (our business) but you can? Oh, okay.

  • This is too naïve to be true

  • I gotta say. even though this was a veryyyy 'gender role' based article (which I am usually totally against!), this was still a superrr nicee article to readd!

I think now a days we women are so busy trying to do things for ourselves that we forget our softer features and qualities (me, for example). I think this is because you realize at the end of the day, you can only truly depend on yourself and need to improve and make the best out of yourself without dependence upon anybody.. so yeah, but very nice that someone actually takes the other look (the softer side and brings that out to women).

Very nice Mytake :) Thanks for sharing. Although, I know some people and even I also noticed it, it was all beautiful slim women ahha so that also goes into the X area hehehe but still nice mytake overall :) : :)

    • I am glad that even as one who holds different opinions from myself, you were able to appreciate what I did and remain respectfully. Kudos to you!

  • lol there are so many people calling this sexism, I can't even... Just WHY.
Following that logic, EVERYTHING is sexism.

Basically, the logic behind this post being 'sexist' is that if this man thinks that the image of women is realistic he is sexist. Let's examine his image of women: Cute, nurturing, caring, selfless, sexy. Oh no, he is straight. He finds the opposite gender sexy and cute because he is attracted to them. HOW SEXIST. Anyways, aren't there women out there we all know who happen to be all five of these things? I know at least 12. They are strong, independent, and inspirations to me. Nowhere in this article did he call women complacent and docile. Every trait he's listed is empowering and fine.

And he never did say that ALL women were like this. Of COURSE he knows there are women who don't fit into these categories! These are just the traits he loves of women he likes! People are allowed to have opinions. Can you think of anyone who likes self-conceited assholes? Or an obese greasy blob who picks his nose? This man doesn't. This man prefers clean women. Nowhere here did he say he likes to control them. He just likes what they do.

So here. I like men because they're physically strong, have facial hairs, have deeper voices, don't talk too much, and pay the bills. Oh god, I just felt myself get SEXIST! OH NO! I mean, there are men out there who don't fit my mold, as much as there are men who do, how sexist am I? I'm like hitler, oh god!

So seriously, if someone finds this post sexist, I feel that they may need to re-evaluate their beliefs and inner anger. Do they just hate men? Do they believe that women should have far more freedom than men? Is it the end of society as we know it because men?

Anyways, I think this is a kind post. You like what you like, and you made a nice post about in the form of a long compliment. It looks like you tried to make women feel good about themselves, and lighten their day. I think this is kind! Well done!

    • I find this sexist and I don't hate men nor do I believe women should be more free. Does that mean something is wrong with me? Lol.

    • @violettasanchez Why do you find this sexist?

    • Because she hates traditional--no, NORMAL--standards of femininity as well as the NORMAL fact that men are attracted to women who exhibit such. Progressivism is just a rebellion against the normal.

    • Show All
  • It doesn't matter what you do. Feminism is about proving all men are sexist, and that we victimize women no matter what we do. Feminists can't even agree on what is sexist, so if you please one feminist, you have just angered another feminist. Several of the women are still calling you sexist for complimenting them which just proves my point.

My advice is to stop letting accusations of sexism and misogyny phase you. Those accusations are so over used they no longer mean anything. Just realize those women, are the ones with really unhealthy attitudes about men and women, not you.

    • so don't you think it's even a little bit sexist that he essentially said he views women as oversized children?

    • @idkwtftoputhere Occasionally women do show a childish side that men often find adorable. He never said that like children, women are incapable of making decisions for themselves. You are reading into a meaning that isn't there. He simply values traits that you do not. While women often value strong men that make her feel safe, men often value women that make us feel like protectors. That isn't sexism, that is just a difference in our preference.

    • But this IS sexism. If you don't like being called sexist, then don't be.

  • A wonderful take. Thank you... ^^

    • You are very welcome :)

  • A big thank you for the kind words! Wow, the hate on this post from both men and women is ridiculous 😂. I can only speak for me, but I love and think a lot of the same about you men! Sexy and selfless. Thanks again!

    • I am glad that even in light of all the baseless hatred on this Take, you along with a few other women appreciate what I was trying to do.

  • As a woman myself I felt good, liberated, appreciated, beautiful because of some of your points that you made, and of course like most readers, I went into the comment section to read other opinions on your post, and upon doing so I came across your statement: "White women are irresistible." And how you are a Mexican American man, I myself am not Mexican American, but it made that statement alone took away all of those feelings. I wouldn't have a problem with that given that I don't mind who likes who, but this is a common statement from most males who are not white themselves. How is it that white women are the most attractive, or the most irresistible? You did not use any other women in you post except for blonde Caucasian females, which means you have the most respect for them. How is it that other women are not worthy of such affection? I know some people may say that I am being insecure, or I am trying to pick an argument, but I want to know. Other women have the right to be beautiful and feel beautiful. It's not anyone's fault that they weren't born with blonde hair and white skin. And to be quite frank I am sick and tired of hearing it.

    • My preference is my preference so obviously I am going to use photographs of women who meet it. After all, this MyTake was titled "The 5 Things *I* Love Most About Women." And you will see in the "Sexy" category while I admit to my preferences, I acknowledge that they are just that and point out that ALL women are sexy in one way or another. Never did I intend to imply that women who do not meet my physical preferences are less worthy of affection. I hope that your feelings are restored after clarification.

    • My feelings are not restored and the will seize to be restored until males get their heads out of society's standards of what classifies a woman as attractive or sexy.

    • Society only reinforces that which is already there. I'm sorry darling, but I do not think that this tendency to dismiss everything as mere nurture really holds up to intellectual scrutiny. Nature produces nurture. Nobody ever said it was fair, but it is what it is. Same way women like men who fit their standards. I'll never be tall but I've learned to accept that women consider height attractive and to not blame them for it. And while I cannot speak for all men, I know that I at least respect all women and acknowledge that they are all equal in regards to ontological worth, even if they are not my preference.

  • not all women are selfless, just making that correction

And many men can be amazingly kind and selfless

    Nothing else to add

    • I think that it is very good that you love women but I also think that in trying to compliment us, you put us on pedestal, by devaluing men, at the same time It is all fine and dandy. But men also are an amazing gender. you should have been more careful in ur wording. i think u exagerated it a bit not to mention not all women are like this and not all men are like u said too Besides this, I have nothing else to "complain" about lol Good Take

    • Thank you. I sincerely appreciate your post. You expressed gratitude for the effort I made and thus understood the sentiment, but you also voiced your concerns in a civilized manner. I value greatly what you said. The great irony is that despite all of the accusations of sexism, I am actually more sexist toward other men than I ever have been toward women. That should have been evident from the "shacking up" comment as well as the statements I make in person on a regular basis.

    • I see Well, I hope u will be more mindful of that then :)

  • O. k... you say women act like overized children , women say the exact same thing about men so im not going to get mad but say who is so incompetent that they can screw up making a betty crocker cake?

    • "but say who is so incompetent that they can screw up making a betty crocker cake?' Yeah, I know freaking ten year olds who can make those no prob

    • I for one can! As well as many women. It is very cute.

    • Yes, this was one of the things I found offensive about this take... as if a woman being "incompetent" is somehow equated with being feminine. And yes, you would have to be incompetent to mess up a Betty Crocker cake "half the time".

  • If I may ask, why did you include multiple provocative and objectifying images of women in a myTake praising their beauty and femininity?

    • It's actually possible for a physically attractive woman to have an attractive personality.

  • Love the pictures.

I understand the jist of why you wrote this, and feel your sentiments in it, but if you never did I don't think you would still be hated that badly. I've been called the same things over the years on other sites, and it used to make me feel like I should have prove myself as a woman-lover too. I realized that it's a psychological trap. If you say things that women don't agree with, they're ready to label you negatively. That can make you feel self-conscious about your opinions, but when you figure that out you stop being afraid and stand firm even more. Calling men misogynists, woman-haters, etc. is just a device used to try to shut you up as a guy and make you fear isolation or being ostricized.

I do have to say I've never really agreed that women are more selfless or emotionally receptive. In some ways women can be the most selfish people alive, and in many other ways very UN-emotional and UN-receptive, and more often choose WHO they will be emotional and receptive too. Not as a general rule. I still see the point you were making though and I understand.

    • Thank you friend. Yes, after the backlash I received for this Take--something I put a great deal of effort in, literally staying up until 5:00AM last night to complete it--I have realized that I am never going to be able to make everyone happy. These radical feminist types aren't truly concerned with any particular ideology or aim; they just want to find offense in everything and anything.

    • @JRICHARDS1996 Yep, that's exactly what I learned a long time ago too. In some ways they sort of live for the hate more than the glory because what they perceive as "misogyny" gives them something to argue and complain about. In other words, they program themselves to react to it or seek it out. My advice is not to buckle, or even post something like this again. I know you meant well, but it opens up an opportunity for them to attack. I once made the same mistake back when I was on Experience Project. It turned out to hurt more than help. What you have to do is unappologetically remain firm in your beliefs and values. It shows that you're not concerned about what anybody thinks and won't be moved. When you're not moved people start backing away and see that they aren't able to break you. Continue to state what you think and what you believe without apology.

  • This is the nicest thing I've heard about woman in a long time... I appreciate it :) it also gives me incite on what men consider feminine...
