I have been accused of sexism and misogyny multiple times by females on this website. And even though those claims could not be further from the truth, I thought it would be in good taste to vindicate myself by composing a tribute to femininity. That is, a celebration of what it means to be a woman. So in honor of femininity, I have taken the liberty of listing the five things that I love most about women.
#5) They are Cute
It is no secret that women are cute. But what I think most women do not realize is the extent of just how cute they are. Like seriously, women are ridiculously cute. Not only physically with their petite frames and generally smaller, daintier bodies, but even in the way that they behave and in the things that they do.
From painting their nails
...to diligently following the instructions on the back of boxed cake mixes
...yet still managing to mess up half the time
To getting angry
From getting into adorable (and often sexy) little mishaps
To the creative ways they try to solve said mishaps
Women are just inherently cute creatures and that is that. If we view you as oversized children, know that it is not in malice but in love. You are just so cute that your presence evokes a desire to nurture and pamper. It makes us want to take care of you, like a fragile, delicate little flower. Furthermore, the way so many women even in their 20s still sleep with stuffed animal plushies is just so adorable. Girly is cute. To be a woman means to be cute. Femininity is inherently cute, and it is one of the reasons I love women.
#4) They are Sexy
Women are sexy, obviously. The rampant male desire for sex is proof of this. There is just something inherently powerful and glorious about female sexuality that warrants respect. Even among religious circles like myself, the admonition for women to remain celibate until marriage is not rooted in a negative view of female sexuality, but rather a positive one. It is because we recognize how valuable it is, and believe that its true potential can only be actualized within the confines of marriage. Therefore anything less is viewed as degrading. Female sexiness goes beyond just the body and looks, though obviously that is a huge part of it (I mean, have you seen just how sexy the female form is buck naked?). It comes also from personality and the subtle little things women do that are wildly sexy, even if they do not realize it.
From waving their heads sarcastically
...to putting their feet on the dashboard (Yes I have a fetish, so kill me)
From biting their lip
To sleeping with one leg out of the blankets at night
Women are sexy. I'm getting aroused just thinking about this stuff. Women should be proud of their beauty, and for that matter value their sexuality. It is perhaps one of the most precious aspects of their being.
The sexiest woman in the world to me is Marisa Miller
I love her because she is blonde and a Bay Area native like myself. But all woman are inherently sexy in one way or another (yes, even fatties, at least to the men who love them). Sexiness is, well, sexy for lack of a better term. Femininity is inherently sexy. And that is why I love it. I love beautiful women.
#3) They are Selfless
If the two preceding items on my list were 'lower,' then this marks the transition into the 'higher' items. The third thing I love most about women is the fact that they are selfless. That is, they will always put others first even at their own detriment. It is amazing really. Women embody the true nature of Christian love--voluntary, selfless sacrifice--to an extent that puts the rest of us to shame.
This is perhaps rivaled only by men at war, who will often sacrifice their own lives for a fallen comrade.
Yet even so, they compose only a tiny fraction of the male population whereas most females express this sort of love on a daily basis. From taking care of their children
...to slaving away in order to maintain a clean house
...And yet still finding time to make sure that they look good and are "available" for you at night
Women are just extremely selfless creatures. They will always put themselves last and others first, because again they understand the Christian connection between love and self-sacrifice to an extent that most males do not. They are self emptying creatures. The downside to this is that sometimes women can be so selfless that they allow themselves to be abused and/or cheated on, because they still love their husband and cling to the hope that he will change.
This is how many women are lured into prostitution and/or lying in order to cover up the criminal activity of their pimps/drug dealers, because in their mind they are just doing what needs to be done to protect the person they love. Even if the person they love is nothing but a manipulative, vagrant lowlife warranting nothing but a bullet to the forehead.
The fact that women are so selfless and in tune with this love means that we males have to shoulder a great responsibility to ensure that we do not take advantage of them. It is a great privilege and honor to have a woman love you so selflessly. Women do a lot for us, from taking our last name to mothering our children and essentially accepting a voluntary yoke of submission. And I am grateful for that. Whereas most males are losers afraid of commitment, I look forward to marriage and fulfilling my obligations as a husband. After all, it is the least I could do in return for all of the great things that women do for us.
#2) They are Nurturing
Similar to what I said about selflessness, women are very nurturing creatures. That is, they have an innate instinct to take care of others and and help those in need. The ultimate example of this is obviously motherhood. The way women nurture their children is beautiful. The selfless way in which they do it is heartbreaking. I still remember when I snubbed my mother in Jr. High because I was embarrassed of how young she was compared to the other students' parents, yet she was always still there for me even when I did not deserve it. It brings tears to my eyes, even to this day.
From being mothers
...to being nurses
Women are nurturing. Their ability to console the conflicted is invaluable. Whereas most males could care less about the emotional well-being of others, women do care and for that matter are greater at providing comfort than their male counterparts. This is especially true for slightly older women, like those from the age of 26 to 34. Even the most attractive, classiest ones still have a soft spot for crying losers such as myself, and are there to provide comfort. Thus the nurturing instinct of women is one of the greatest glories of femininity, and therefore the second thing I love most about women.
But Most of All,
#1) They are Emotionally Receptive
Congratulations upon arriving at the first and most important item on this list. Yes, the thing I absolutely love the most about women is the fact that they are emotionally receptive to an extent that puts males to shame. There is simply no contest whatsoever. Women are greater at perceiving emotions and particularly sorrow than men are. This is perhaps THE defining characteristic of femininity to me, what it means to truly be a woman. This item stands for itself, warranting no illustrations because no illustration could sufficiently do this point any justice.
Whether it is consoling a man on the verge of a suicide or expressing some little bit of kindness to an addict at rock bottom who needs to feel loved even if by a random stranger, women are capable of understanding emotion and doing what needs to be done. Not just on the empirical level like males where our idea of consolation is providing logical solutions, but on the personal level. Heart to heart. Women are there. They know what to do (or not do) to help. And sometimes just being there in itself is enough to greatly mitigate our pain. This is the most beautiful aspect of femininity, even if it can sometimes be frustrating in light of how overemotional females appear. But I would not trade it for the world. It is essential for our well-being, and perhaps the only reason all men have not just killed themselves yet.
In Conclusion,
Ladies, you are greatly appreciated. Even if we do not always express our gratitude the way we should, know that we love you and are dependent upon you in more ways than you realize. Do not fall into the delusion that you are unwanted or unneeded, because as men we greatly want you and greatly need you. I reiterate, you are appreciated.
The things I have listed are, among countless other things, the reason why we love you so much. It is why men have been willing to fight and die, perform grueling manual labour, and all-around endure the poop end of the stick in things for the sake of your own wellbeing. Because we value you, treasure you for that "incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God" in the words of St. Peter the Apostle (1 Pet 3:4). It is why in the wedding service of the Orthodox Church, men are taught "even if it becomes necessary for you to give your life for her [the wife], yes, and even to endure and undergo suffering of any kind, do not refuse" and to treat their wives with untiring love "even if you see her belittling you, or despising and mocking you," (St. John Chrysostom, "Homily on Marriage").
And while feminism tends to overlook these things for the sake of their cultural Marxist narrative of men as vicious oppressors throughout the ages, the truth of the matter is that men have also made a lot of sacrifices for women throughout the ages. So again, ladies, we love you, and appreciate you.

*sigh* wishing I looked like those women in the pictures on your mytake. I always have been a skinny girl and apparently curves is what is sexy. My figure isn't curvy despite all my efforts to consume more food and exercise better. I am in great health. Rarely get sick, have good hair and skin, can touch my toes, can run a mile in 7 minutes 20 seconds, and etc. But I really wish I was curvy. I lost boob fat (C to B) while getting into shape while I was gaining weight due to muscle. Where are my hips and butt though? Never had them and probably never will even though I squat and do lunges and butt kicks. I think the only thing great about me is my mind, heart, and soul. But sadly most men don't see past the exterior. At least guys I know.

When it comes to emotional openness I think it's just the way we're wired. Like there's something that makes a girl 'bi-emotionally-open' or whatever, and guys are 'hetero-emotionally-open'. There's probably a proper name for it but I think that's basically what it comes down to, just like having a sexual orientation and a romantic orientation, people can also have emotional orientations. Guys only want to talk to girls.
