  • It should be Abortion. I mentioned on here ages ago a girl that was raped and her Uber Christian parents pretty much made her go to term with her baby.

She was under counselling from the rape.

The thing is she eventually committed suicide, every day, every second of the day she saw her child, was a flash back to the brutal rape.

The counselling centre I worked at dealt with trauma such as rape, incest, young teen pregnancy (13-15 etc).

Also within some communities, parents finding out their daughter was pregnant could trigger an honour attack / killing.

On the rape thing, a guy owed some bad people cash, he did not pay them, they sent 5 guys around to his house, his new girlfriend was there, they constantly raped her and pretty much tortured them both from Friday night to early Monday morning.

In what world would anyone expect her to carry full term?

  • Did the baby do anything to deserve to be killed? Also abortions HAVE horrible effects on women. Anyone who tells you that they don't is either lying or misinformed.

I understand that rape is a terrible thing. But there are resources to help and there are mothers out of rape who hate what happened to them but love their child. I think you should have seen one of Dr. Oz's challengers who was much better who was a woman born of rape.

A woman who I assume you would rather see dead.

    • I understood nothing. Are you an idiot? What do I have to do with other women who have been raped? I was also raped, do I have to be forced to continue the pregnancy because some victims decided to keep it? Idiot reasoning. It's a dumb logic because there are A LOT of women who hate what happened to them and they also hate their child as FORCED TO bear the fruit of their rape. Whose opinion is worth more? Shall we put them in the ring to decide?

    • To say that abortion can have terrible effects on women is also stupid, because ANY SURGERY can have terrible effects on women. Childbirth can also have dire effects on women. Isn't it obvious? By the way, you didn't answer my main question.

    • Do you think that a woman who has been raped should be forced to carry the fruit of her rape for nine months, or an abortion can be performed earlier? The human baby incubator... oops the rape victim should be forced to have the baby and what else?

  • I would fully support abortion in this case. I can't imagine the psychological affects of having to carry a part of your rapeist around for nine months then be reminded of a nightmare time every time you look at the child.

Also I don't know how true this is but if you do decide to keep the child when it comes to the court case it could weaken your case down to the fact you kept the child it was wanted. Especially if the case leads to any grey areas on consent.

  • It's like giving the rapist a prize, the polish current abortion law is fine.

  • Are u asking for opinions or law

    • Laws.

    • Then that depends where u live I would think

  • I fully encourage her to abort it

  • At least in 6 states, she HAS to have the kid! Either that or use a coat hanger!

  • The woman is absolutely never forced to carry the child in the US. The federal government has something called the "Hyde Ammendment," which guarantees funding of abortions to women who are the victims of rape, incest, and other crimes. That is federally granted money. It is available in all 50 states and the territories of the US.

  • Take the Morning After Pill (Plan B)

    • Some of the rape victims are children who are cut off by their abusers in case you didn't know.

    • I'm all for personal liberty, but you'll never get that, so long as people still trust GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY Until we get rid of Government (and Religion), enjoy being a slave in this world, where your rights are taken by idiots and hypocrites in positions of power (and the sycophants who vote them there)

  • do you know what percentage of abortions are due to rape?

    • That's what matters? How does this influence the right to abortion of women victims of rape If the percentage is low or small, what does it matter? Women are raped and get pregnant in some cases the same way.

    • Should rape victims be forced to continue with the pregnancy, why not, because the percentage of abortions in rape cases is low? Is that your point?

    • My point is that you pro abortion folks like to use the edge cases (.15% of abortions are done in the case of rape) as an emotional manipulation to justify abortion. So, ok, I'll play your game. You can get an abortion if you get raped. No abortions for convenience (75% of all abortions).

  • NO woman should be FORCED to deliver a RAPE baby EVER. PERIOD!

  • That would depend on which state you live in. Check your local laws and statutes. Even the courts can't agree on what the law is right now.

  • depends on the state you're in now

  • Abortion. For the perpetrator voluntary castration for sentence reduction if it was assault rape.

  • She shouldn't abort. The child did nothing wrong. The rapist should get the death penalty instead.

  • Most men don't care if a woman has been raped or not.
