Is being a furry a deal breaker?

I am a furry and im proud to be one i am a sakura pink snow leopard [not saying my sona's name due to stalkers] and iv learned a lot of people seem to have a misunderstanding of furry's and the furry community.

Me being a furry i know "furst" paw that when people discuss the furry community especially with people who have no knowledge of the fandom or the community only know of the stereo type the "yiff org". Those people are what ruin the Community they are called Mursuiters and they give the rest a bad name. Another thing iv heard is that we are attracted to animals i am not i actually do not care about furry porn [though i do love bad dragon dildos because they are the best kind of dildos].

It's come to my attention that a lot of people who hate on furries refuse to understand them. a lot of us furrs do it because 1 Anthro animals are pawesome and 2 they are fluffy and cute X3 but most importantly because a lot of the furry community is accepting of everyone which is why a lot of the gay members can hide behind their sona as a mask an be who they want to be an not be judged.

But after a while of being a furry [been one for almost 2 years now] iv learned a lot of people hate them and i dont understand why?

Yes they are a deal breaker!

  • So in fact I would be an example of someone who knows -almost- nothing about furries, beyond the odd joke about them, which lets assume I haven't taken seriously.

    So lets say I meet a potential partner and they tell me they're a furry.

    My actual reaction would be blank staring.

    I really don't know what that means especially in terms of how it would impact -us-.

    Just as long as they didn't force it on me or say things like "woof" on a daily basis, ya know?
