Is cheating worse if a girl does it than a guy?

My 5 year long boyfriend that cheated on me 2 years ago (I found out a year ago) told me that it’s worse for a woman to cheat than a man because she’s the one getting fucked and there are different size dicks. Also, if she lets him cum inside her his DNA is inside of her now.

I think cheating is inexcusable act either man.. not depending on gender. I tried to explain that he was the guy fucking another girl, and his dick was inside another girl. And if he did come inside the girl.. she has HIS DNA inside her. I hate this double standard between genders. Am I wrong and by his comments is he even remorseful of cheating?

  • It matters not who cheated, he clearly wants to act like what he did is no big deal but if you were to do it in return it would be far worse. Seems to me he is afraid you will cheat back.

    It does not sound like he is remourseful at all, I would say he is probably still cheating and you haven't found out about the other girls. He likely has gotten better at hiding it, it would be better to find a way to split up.

  • Cheating is bad for man and woman it don't matter your gender you are you still cheated. I pride myself that I never or will ever cheat. Most guys do cheat so it's more common but when a girl cheats she is considered a slut or skank. I think girls get it harsh if they cheat because it not common but it doesn't matter if your a man or a woman.

  • From a moral viewpoint, no- but it's not hard to understand why a person would think THEIR demographic cheating matters less.

    Also, unless you're dating a uranium elemental, DNA isn't mutagenic, and even if it WAS, that's in every cell of your body, so hair and skin from everyone you ever touched or were close enough to would be "inside" you.

  • Guys can keep the physical act of sex and emotion entirely separate more easily than girls can. The reason why people say cheating is worse for girls than for guys is that generally, girls cheat both emotionally and physically, while guys cheat only physically.

    • That’s totally understandable. Usually if a woman cheats though it’s because she doesn’t care anymore about that relationship and she checked out mentally. Men will cheat for any reason if they can justify it and then blame the partner on why he did.

    • Pretty much. I mean I can't cheat, it's just something I can't mentally wrap my head around doing. It may have to do with how I approach relationships. I respect my relationship, and I respect my girlfriend. Cheating would show a lack of respect for both. I don't think most people ever reach the stage of respect in relationships. They think love is enough, and you should have love, but love without respect doesn't make you faithful.

    • That’s very true. Even i don’t fully respect my partner especially after him cheating and I still can’t wrap my head around to cheating. It’s disgusting and shows what kind of character you have as a person to purposely put someone through that kind of trauma and betrayal. I wouldn’t be able better than him if I went out to cheat just to get revenge. I’m going to keep my conscious clean.. he is the one who will have to go through judgement one day.
