Is female promiscuity being more accepted?

I know there's going to be at least one girl posting about how body count don't matter. This isn't a post that takes a stand for or against female promiscuity. I just got this idea, because it seems like females are more confident saying a higher body count. Some females are embarrassed to say 4, but more and more girls are saying " 15, 20" etc with no problem. Do you believe female promiscuity is being more accepted by society?

Superb Opinion
  • Yes. Society, especially in western countries and newer generations, are pushing for “sex positivity.” Society is becoming more accepting of the fact that women are liberated and are embracing their sexuality. That means, being sex positive…

Being sex positive means that “all consensual sexual activities are seen as fundamentally healthy and pleasurable, and encouraging sexual pleasure and experimentation” People don’t like to use the word “promiscuity” because it is seen as derogatory. “Sex positive” is a better term because it says it encourages people to be open and accepting of people having sex.

Anyways, what I’m trying to say is, sex positivity is more accepted in society, or newer generations. People think it’s good that others are being sexually open and having as many partners as they want, as long as they’re safe and consensual. In theory, it’s good that sex and pleasure isn’t seen as taboo… However, in practice, it’s often avoided when someone mentions their (high) number of sex encounters.

  • Yes, just from some of the comments made here and other forums. One forum has virgins asking other girls and guys for help so they don't act awkward the first time. They are even asking how to get their boyfriends to have sex with them. I see very few negative comments in response to their questions.

  • Where have you been for the last 60 years? This isn't anything new. It started in the 1960s with huge pushes by Marxist Radical Feminists.
