A lot of people today have said that it’s fetishizing to be attracted to people not of your own background. Feeling physical attraction for someone is objectifying and fetishizing them. Do you agree with this?

The people who are saying that are the ones who hate interracial relationships, so they want to portray a person being attracted to another race as a bad thing. If their desire for another race is largely sex-based, then it's definitely bad. Or if they only want to date another race because they put them on a pedestal as being more intelligent or making better partners because their skin is white, that is also really bad.

Apart from that, there's nothing wrong with wanting and being attracted to someone of another race.

Of course not. I don't know why people play dumb. But if you can only date folks outside of your community. You have got some issues.

I wouldn’t say it’s a fetish, only if people obsess over a certain race and have something against other races but everyone has a preference too. For example, the guy I have a crush on is Cambodian which is basically Asian and I’ve always found Asian guys super HOT but I’ve dated Italian guys before and Mexican so I’m open minded.

If you’re just attracted to a girl because she’s hot, and just happens to be of a different race/ethnicity to yourself, that’s not a fetish.

It becomes a fetish when race is the main focus. When a guy sees a girl of a particular race, and the main reason he’s attracted to her is because of her race.
