Is it bad to say "I love you" during sex?

So me and boyfriend recently lost are virginity together. It was super romantic and passionate I was starting to get carried away. So my boyfriend was on top of me and we were looking in to each other's eye's and I put my hand on his chest, I could feel his heart beating really fast and I said "I love you so much" he didn't say anything back and just started making out with me and going really fast. It was so good but I felt a little disappointed my boyfriend didn't say he loved me back. I asked a friend about it and she said "I'm sure he does love you it's just not what he probably wanted to hear whilst banging your brains out". Is she right? Is saying "I love you" during sex a bad thing?

I'm happy to tell you. You can PM me too if you want it to be less public. No, I would never tell a girl she is beautiful for starters unless I meant it. Secondly, I would be the opposite of ignoring her. Especially after what you described. My being on top, feeling her hand on my chest, looking into each other's eyes, and hearing her say "I love you so much." I would also say that back and mean it. I would caress her face while saying it. After ejaculating inside her, I would hold her and look into her eyes and just enjoy my time with her as we kiss and as I tell her how much she means to me. I would let her know how much I cherish her. What I would not do is avoid her. It would be just the opposite. Just getting up for the day to leave would be difficult and the next moment I could be back with her in my arms again, I would be there. The absence of being away from her, even for just a few hours would be painful.

It's not a bad thing - but it's too common to say it during sex when you don't MEAN it (sex has a way of making you say stuff). I think he wants to wait to say it until you KNOW he really means it - which means, NOT during sex.

Well, that's a pretty strong emotion and a next step sort of thing. Women don't feel too bad saying it so easily really. Women are good with sharing emotions whether it's a good time to say it or not, when the feeling hits them, they just need to share them I suppose.

Guys, we need time to think sometimes. Or, we don't exactly know if it's "love" or just we love your body and spending time with you or not. Love goes deeper than just liking someone a lot, as another way of putting it. So, maybe he feels he loves you, just doesn't want to say it when he's not completely sure yet and then get your hopes up and all the flood of your emotions overflowing with the love bug and that. I mean really, it's a runaway train at times when a woman is in love.
