Or do you just accept and enjoy it
Even though i m still young, I ve wasted many years on not doing as I want because I usually think about what is best for other and not about myself. To please my family and friends.
My real name is litterally Angel, and people expect me to act like an angel. They don't understand that I don't have to be a nice Angel, I can also be a bad Angel. I love my name, but I don't like how people think of it.
Anyway my name have hunted me for many years, but I started to express myself slowly and what I want more when I was 17 and then a bit more when I was 18.
When adults ask other Kids to do things or shores, they sometimes say yes or no, but I sayd yes all the time.
It still hunts me, but I m trying to have a balans beteende being good or bad.
Many people even missunderstood me being nice as flirting. I ve had young, same and older guys missundestanding.
I don't hate being nice, I just hate how people use me just because I was nice.
I won't stop being nice, I will just keep a balans.
When you act nice, people/my family köpt being involved in my life, school life, love life and work life. But now i told them to not get involved so much and also to know that I have choises and I m not a robot.
My family also expect me to do good in everything, but they don't understand that I m not a genius, I m just average smart. When I do good , they brag so much to everyone and it put a lot of pressure on me.
I do want to make my family proud, but its exhusting.
I m now in law school at the university, but its so hard, I don't understand much, but I try. I m probably gonna fail for the first time in my life and I don't know how my family are gonna take that if it happens.
It would be great if I didn't have pressure on me because ut give me stress and depression sometimes.
If I didn't have pressure, then I would not mind failing, because you learn from your mistake and do much better and even become greater. And when I fail i can always have plan B or plan C.
So YES getting old is hard.1 0 0 0The good thing about being nice is that I don't have enemies and I don't get in trubble a lot. I get a lot of praise, even tho I m not doing it for praise. I don't regret it much, I just regret the fun things I missed.
Thanks for MHO 🥰

For me it's hard. The older I get, the less I am attractive to the opposite sex maybe.
Also, I read somewhere on Quora that above a certain age, your body works AGAINST you, and not for you.
Then again, I believe that EVERYONE goes through aging. It's better than the alternative which is six feet under or in a vase lol. Well, for the most part lol.
Also, I think it's not just aging that affects your life but EVERYTHING affects your life. It's not your age usually, but what happens to you that matters more I discovered in recent years.

Well, nobody wants to get old. So there is a psychological aspect to it. Then there is the physical part. You just aren't what you used to be and it can be hard to accept sometimes.
On the other hand, it happens slowly enough that you kinda get used to it along the way. Life has it's tests. By the time you get older you've been through some shit in your life and passed the entrance exam.
Yes, you accept it. You have no choice. You try to enjoy your life when you are old just like you enjoy it when you are young. Some people actually enjoy it more as they get older. If they have saved some money through their life and have a retirement nest egg, retirement years can be great. But even without savings it can be great.
It's all about how you handle it. Some people don't handle it well. The people who do the best in older age are generally the same ones who made the best of life when they were younger.
Of course health plays a big role. Some people just have much better health than others. A large part of health in old age is affected by the things you do at a younger age. Diet and exercise at a young age are extremely important. Saving money at a young age is also very important.
A lot of young people say they don't want to get old - that they want to die young. It's easy to say that. But humans have a strong survival instinct. Even the very elderly in their 90s keep going because life is still worth it to them. Maybe that's the real answer to the question - the negatives don't outweigh the positives - it's worth it to keep going.
0 0 0 0When I was younger I was afraid of getting older simply because of "getting old". Now, what scares me was all the time I wasted (or was wasted for me) by things like careers, friendships, relationships not working out even though I had the best intentions. Now, I am not afraid so much by the age itself "per say" only that the time spent was well spent which is something I still battle with :/

6 28I’m turning 30 this year, and I’m just looking forward to the decades I have ahead of me. I’m doing so much already, it can still get better too. I’m working on gaining new skills to try and get better at art because I always wanted to be an artist, so I’m turning that into being a comic book artist. It’s fun and I’m looking forward to learning more
0 0 0 0It depends on how much money and success you have relative to your age. I'm 36, so yes, for me, it SUCKS being old, and I voted option A.
0 0 0 0Its hard especially because I wasted so much of my time staying in and not interacting with people, and now I am just getting my life in order at this age... It sucks... Plus I'm a women so that just makes it worse...
0 0 0 0Yeah but you're a damn good looking woman. I'm sure you could have your pick of the guys available out there.
@LiamSawyer Nah not really, majority of guys don't like me. That is just a filtered pic I don't quite look that good LOL
If you say so.
what does hard mean?
What's hard is discovering your flaws, and realizing if you'd found them earlier, it would have avoided a lot of problems and you'd be so much wealthier. But you accept you are wealthier in knowledge including spirtually, and you move forward.
What's hard sometimes... is changing, and letting go. So start practicing...
0 0 0 0With age comes experience. I wouldn’t trade that. Age is inevitable, so it being hard is pretty irrelevant.
0 1 0 0Each day as it comes.
0 0 0 0It's way more difficult to keep weight off and sometimes my joints hurt.
BUT... otherwise it's pretty good. As @dustybiker said, there's experience which is priceless. Also, people aren't so scared to talk to you, which is nice.
1 1 0 0Getting older has been okay for me. The hard stuff for me is trying to keep my teenage son interested in spending time with me now. When he was little I was his hero and just going for a walk together or playing with toys made him so happy. Now a days I need to make an appointment just to take him to lunch and I worry that he would rather be with his buddies.
0 0 0 0It's not a teenage thing. When I was a teenager, I would have LOVED to spend time with my parents as I thought they weren't going to be around forever. ... They're STILL here and I am close to my 40's haha. But still, I think maybe try to just be there for him if needed. He'll realize soon enough that family is important!
You're getting old too, motherfucker.
But it's right. I feel better now than in my teens. Healthier, fitter.
Aging is a bad thing if you don't know how to take care of yourself. Learn how to take care of yourself.
0 0 0 0"Aging is a bad thing if you don't know how to take care of yourself." Or you got unlucky and your genes suck.
@TenderFantasy that's a possibility But a lot of people blame ignorance and laziness on their genes.

0 0 0 0 I don’t feel old. I feel still feel like I’m 28 inside. I guess I look early 30’s, and I’m physically fitter now than when I was 20! (I love callisthenics)
But, I can’t get up from the floor as quick as I used to because of a knee issue, so that always reminds me of my age. I don’t mind getting older. I know a lot, and I know myself. I say and what I like and don’t hold back like I used to. Relationship wise, I attract as many men as I always have ( but I’m not looking) so I don’t have any issues there either.0 0 0 0Life begins at 40. Before then, you're just a kid trying to find their way.
0 0 0 0Enjoy it. Get that handicap spot feeling like VIP. Grey hair is a crown not a shame lol… when you get to that point when you dont give a flip what people think, I will be the first to shake your hand to say: “welcome”, life is short and old folk live it out the best.🙃😃
0 0 0 0When you get in your late 50s early 60s you start figuring out in your head how many years you have left if you live to the average age!! Not fun at all getting old!!
0 0 0 0Not if you work out, stay in shape, never did drugs and don't drink alcohol. Then the only difference is you are more experienced in life, know what you do and what you don't like, and you often are in a better financial situation than when young.
0 0 0 0It's hard, sometimes, especially when "it" isn't hard.
0 0 0 0Yes.
0 0 0 0It is not for sissies. Nothing works the way it did. You wear glasses and there are all these aches and pains that you never had before. You never feel like going out on Friday nights and think a motorcycle is a bad idea.
0 0 0 0It's not hard getting old it just sucks. All your joints start hurting. You wake up every morning hurting. You can't do everything that you used to do when you were younger. You can't eat everything that you used to.
The good thing is that you gain so much experience. Yes you still make mistakes but you learn from them.0 0 0 0Getting old hurts.
