This varies a lot from guy to guy, and even then, a given guy who normally lasts, say, 10 minutes will have an occasional day when he has to work really hard to last more than 5 minutes, and an occasional day where he can go for 20 minutes. Diet, sleep, and hormones all play a part in this, and that's not considering the girl. She will have an impact on things - she can be more or less enthusiastic, more or less dirty, more or less vocal, etc. All of those things factor in, but it all starts with that particular guy's own "normal."

Some guys can barely last 30 seconds, and some last 30 minutes - the vast majority will be in between. I've read that the average length of intercourse is 7.5 minutes, from penetration to finish. Whatever the guy's normal is will be the starting point.

Anyway, there is a point where you can feel you are getting close, and if you keep going, you will reach the point of no return. Most guys learn to slow down or stop or even pull out when getting close to that point if they want to extend the session - if they don't, they will quickly hit the point of no return and cum soon after.

I think if your mindset is don't cum don't cum don't cum it's self-sabotaging. It's better for the guy to focus on his own enjoyment so he can pace himself in a way that feels comfortable. It also depends on the guy, the girl, when he last had sex, the position, the pace, etc. It's both mental and physical.

For me it depends on my mood, the ammount of foreplay and how good the sex is. If i'm in the mood, there was a lot of foreplay and the sex is good then i definitely have to try the whole time not tu cum. But if even one thing isn't fullfilled the easier it is for me to last longer

When I was younger 18-20 it was like that. Of course sex felt good, but I was just thinking the entire time "don't cum too fast." This has something to do with sensitivity, but also your excitement (heart rate/ breathing) can bring you to the finish quicker than otherwise. Yes, it can be VERY tough to hold off and not shoot. My view has always been that I want to experience her vagina, (warmth, lubrication, friction (tightness) and how she moves with me during the thrusting.
