Is it normal for a guy to masturbate in public?

So I was talking to a group of my friends when someone they knew walked up and sat down right in front of me. They didn't say anything, they just stared at me while I was talking to my friends and stuck their hand in their pants pocket. In between phrases I noticed this guy really getting into it (up and down movements) with something in his pants. I felt it would have been awkward to call him out on it in front of everyone who was staring at me during the conversation, but it also made it too awkward to even continue the conversation. Is this normal? This isn't the first guy who has done this before.

    • Well you pointed out something to me... I have no idea how I attract these type of guys. Most guys say openly I'm hot, I get asked out all the time, I'm confident, and smart, but also am shy but have a big mouth, am divorced and come with a ton of baggage. I didn't think I'd be the type to attract that type of behavior.

Don't know about your other "baggage", but I suspect you are putting yourself down needlessly. In the case you mention, I would have suggested that you call him out on it. Something like. "I am standing right here seeing you. Why all the motion in your pants?" Anyway, I think you are probably a better "catch" than you think of yourself.
