It’s not a turn off. It’s completely normal and it can even change color over time. There’s nothing you can do or should do to change the color. If it’s dark, that’s just the way you are. I love seeing my wife’s and normally it’s pink but when she was pregnant it was very dark brown and almost black and it didn’t turn me off at all. I thought it was kind of interesting. Everyone’s is a different color and I just like being that intimate with her so I don’t mind which color it is. It’s like a surprise to me.
