Is it normal to want to have sex with past flings just one more time for the sake of it?

I'm 27. Back when I was in my "slut phase" I was like 16. At 16 I started dating someone and was with him for 7 years. After we split up I was single for a year and started dating my current boyfriend. Been with him for 3.

Now my boyfriend and I are into the swingers lifestyle, though we have NOT hooked up with anyone else thus far. It's more of an idea that gets us going to a point of fantastic sex. We have spoken to other couples and exchanges photos but that's it.

My problem is that I want to sleep with past flings. Even if they were terrible in bed. I dont know why I'm like this, especially knowing that they were terrible sex partners when I was with them. Like my sons father for instance, who was a fling, nothing more. I dont ever see him and he's never met his kid but sometimes I wanna fuck him again just because.

Has anyone ever dealt with this?
