Is it ok for him to finish inside me with a copper iud?

He always pulls out even with it because I ask him to because we’re nervous and don’t know if we can trust it… but I went to go get my strings checked a couple days ago & my gynecologist checked the strings and said that everything was fine with it. Can he finish inside without me getting pregnant) should I buy a plan b if we do it? It’s supposed to be 99 percent effective.. I have the copper iud? I want to be able to have that bond with my partner but I’ve never had someone finish inside me before so it’s hard to trust

  • Depends on which one you are using.

ParaGard is an intrauterine device (IUD) that can provide long-term birth control (contraception). It's sometimes referred to as a nonhormonal IUD option.

The ParaGard device is a T-shaped plastic frame that's inserted into the uterus. Copper wire coiled around the device produces an inflammatory reaction that is toxic to sperm and eggs (ova), preventing pregnancy.

ParaGard is the only copper IUD available in the United States. It can prevent pregnancy for up to 10 years after insertion.

    Why it's done
ParaGard offers effective, long-term contraception. It can be used in premenopausal women of all ages, including teenagers.

    Among various benefits, ParaGard:

Eliminates the need to interrupt sex for contraception
Can remain in place for up to 10 years
Can be removed at any time
    Can be used while breast-feeding
Doesn't carry the risk of side effects, such as blood clots, related to hormonal birth control methods
Can be used for emergency contraception if inserted within five days after unprotected sex
ParaGard isn't appropriate for everyone. Your health care provider may discourage use of ParaGard if you:

Have uterine abnormalities — such as large fibroids — that interfere with the placement or retention of ParaGard
Have a pelvic infection, such as pelvic inflammatory disease
    Have uterine or cervical cancer
    Have unexplained vaginal bleeding
Are allergic to any component of ParaGard
Have a disorder that causes too much copper to accumulate in your liver, brain and other vital organs (Wilson's disease)

  • Here are some questions you want to ask yourself before any man comes inside of you. Even though you're using birth control of some kind, however effective, ask yourself these things:
    * What IF I get pregnant anyway? What can you expect from the man if you want to try and carry to term?
    * Do you want to be a mom, or
    * Would you want to terminate the pregnancy?
    * IF you know for sure you'd want to terminate the pregnancy, do you live in a US state or country that permits it up to say 12 weeks for reasons other than rape, incest or danger to the life of the mother?
    * If you're in the USA and live in red state but want the choice to terminate, can you afford to travel to a state that allows it? Will your home state try to prosecute you if you do?

You have a lot more things to consider other than "I'm 98% protected" before you let him cum inside you. 98% means that 2 women out of every 100 will get pregnant, and that could mean you.

  • The copper IUD is 99.2% effective. Out of 100 couples, only one couple is likely to become pregnant after a year of regular unprotected sex using no other form of birth control.

A condom is between 87 - 98% effective depending on correct use. Out of 100 couples, between 2 - 13 are likely become pregnant within a year of regular unprotected sex using no other form of birth control.

You’re actually more likely to get pregnant using condoms as birth control, which most everybody considers safest.

If you let him cum inside you wearing a condom, the risk was higher then than it is now.

The only thing condoms offer that the IUD isn’t is STD protection.

I hope this helps you make an informed decision!

  • Go by what your gynae says. He said everything is fine, so go ahead. Your iud is more than 99 % efficient.

  • Well. If it's supposed to work and you have it. But don't trust it. Why even have it🤔

Fuck it I say try it. If you don't want to do that, then get rid of it. If you can anyway. I dont know much about that

    • Yea I want him to be able to enjoy it and I’m just so afraid but if the dr says it’s in place then I guess it’s ok

    • First for everything

    • I mean it's one of those things you can only find out if it's safe if you do it. 99 percent sounds pretty damn good to me buddy But words from people can only take you so far. It's you that's gotta do it

  • My fiancé has a copper coil and after 3 years and she isn't pregnant yet!

  • Probably a question best posed to a licensed doctor.

  • 99% is pretty good odds, so go for it and enjoy the moment.

  • Well IUDs are supposed to be over 99 percent effective against pregnancy. So I think you're safe. And just to ensure it, add another birth control method in addition to it to further prevent pregnancy

  • Yes, it is.

  • Well he shouldn’t be finishing inside you without your consent , so that right there is messed up that he isn’t listening to you , he is just doing what he feels is best for himself , whether you have protection or not , that isn’t his decision to make without your consent , so you should really reconsider staying in a relationship with a guy like that, his true colors shined right there by making it all about himself

  • Yes let him cum inside you. Pulling out to finish was like not having sex at all if I had to finish by hand. Plus you will enjoy it watching the pleasure on his face as well as feel his cum inside you. At least I’m told they can fell it. It definitely creates a different bond especially if or when you can cum together at the same time there is nothing like it. You’ll probably be nervous the first time till you get your period and learn to trust it.

    • It happened.. I’ll just have to trust it now

  • Should be! That's what it's there for!

  • Yes, perfectly fine. I've been using the copper IUD and we have intercourse even when I'm ovulating and we never had a scare. Is the best method I've tried.

  • Yes you are safe

  • My wife had that because she couldn’t have hormone versions and it worked out fine until she hit early menopause and then he took it out of her.

  • Who cares. You have poison in your pussy

    • @jaybones What a pig you are. Just stay out of postings if you are going to say nonsense like that.

    • I know right, some people are scum to the earth

    • Research copper you idiots. You literally have poison in your pussy

  • It is the STD that you should worry about.

  • You should be safe. My sister has an IUD and hasn't gotten pregnant yet. She also is used to having daily sex.

  • Finishing inside your partner is huge for many men and it is a big part of deepening your bond. If the IUD is 99% that's about as good as it gets. If you are really concerned perhaps you should chart your fertility a d avoid intercourse when you are the most fertile (or add an additional method of BC).

  • Pull out method, doesn't work. You are simply playing with fire, and when you play with fire, YOU WILL EVENTUALLY GET BURNED

    • This is a copper iud

  • Hell yeah! Lol

  • Copper? Weird.

But in those early days we always doubled up. We hated condoms so she got VCF and the pill.
