Yesterday there were some people who said if the teen girl or boy is 16 or 17 then it's fine and police shouldn't be called if they have sex with an adult even if it's illegal.
What is your opinion on this?
Is it ok NOT to call police if the teen is 16 or 17?

The premise is it's illegal. Read the bloody question people

What Girls & Guys Said
7 68I have read the bloody question :) (incl. the update :D )
I see 'the police' as a last measure to get things back in some kind of order.
Much of the time they aren't really necessary.
Would I call them? - Only if I feel that someone is in big trouble, and I can't to something about it myself.
Legal or not: is not my concern - I'm neither a judge, nor a lawmaker.
If i were in a position where my daughter were not of legal age but engaed in sexual activity i would have to make a judgement of her maturity and who she's involved with. If i felt she was immature and involved with someone who was 30 then i would call police (i personally know several officers, family and friends). If she was close to legal age, mature, and involved with someone who was 18 then i would encourage them to put the brakes in till she was legal, but not sure i would report them
I think it depends where in the world you are, I left home at about 13 and was able to make decisions my self, by this time and having my own roof at 14 I was fucking anything I could, lots of older women to.. but it was my choice and I never even wondered if it was wrong or wrong on their part... I think if you are easily manipulated and made to do things that you don't want it's wrong.. but I didn't have that happen to me.. well except when I was abused at 7 but I built a bridge over it and moved on.. didn't mess up my life but I wouldn't wish it on any child..
As far as calling the police I don't know, I grew up in a very different world to most.. but I did save a lot of young girls on the street and took them to shelters or got them safely away from cocks, mostly girls drunk and silly. Paid plenty cab fairs just to get them home safe.. worked in a strip club at 17 and the clip underneath, more like family than a job
Teenagers shouldn't be having sex with grown adults but there is a law that teens can date someone 4 years younger than themselves and or 4 years older than themselves
and it would be legal, so it's figure what the laws really are?
My question was if police should be called or not if its illegal... It's a simple question
@jessiebellll I don't know how much the police would do simply cause some places police don't care
Alright
An adult should know better than to have sex with a minor. The police should be called to investigate.
No it is not, if the kid is underaged even if by a year it is not right.
Yes it is illegal.
Alright
I would not involve the police.
If the parties were consenting, I do not see a crime.
FYI where I live the age of consent is 16.
It really depends on the country
If in the USA, which state?
How old is the adult?
Any adult and it would be illegal
Not true In some states it’s legal for the child to be 17 and the adult to be 18 and they must have been together before the adult turnt 18. In some states it’s legal for 16 to have sex with an adult if they 16 year old consented. Some states the age for legal consent is 17. Then there’s legal parent and guardian consent
But my question is IF it was illegal..
You should be sent to prison if you call the police on someone because of that. Seriously some people...
If they are over the age of consent, they can do as they wish.
If they are under the age of consent, then the adult is guilty of any of several charges- statutory rape, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, sexual battery, etc.
Notify the police and let them sort it out: that is their job.
nahh thats statutory rape call the popo
It depends on the age of consent of wherever the act took place. If the age of consent is 16 then it's legal and thus u can't call the cops. If the age of consent is 18 then it's illegal and u can call the cops.
But do you think cops should be called?
I personally don't believe that someone who's considerably older should be having sex with someone who's 16/17. As for the cops being called, like I said, if it's illegal u should call the cops, if it's not illegal then u shouldn't call the cops
I'll say the same thing that I've said on all your other posts. If it's illegal then both parties should be punished not just one.
More detail is needed. Do you know the adult? Do you know the teen? Do you know them both? Was it consensual? How old is the adult? A 17 yr old having sex with a 19 yr old doesn't seem like a real crime if they're dating and they both wanted it, despite what the "law" says, now does it? More info please.
First thing first, if its illigal calling police will be a wise idea, but also I would say it also depends upon the circumstances.
If the 16/17 years old is involved in consentual sex with someone of her age i. e. her boyfriend its quite common and police involvement isn't quite necessary.
If she is involved in consentual sex with someone bit older and he is somehow luring ger to have her consent or with bad intension, I think he is using her so police involvement makes sense here.
I hope it make sense what I wanted to say here.
What if it's a boy?
Yeah, same for the boy as well.
Alright
Yeah, consent isn't always everything, the motive and the legalities factor both have to be evaluated, is what I wanted to say
Not really sure what to say..
Except in cases where the girl is mentally challenged or there is a power difference such as teacher/student or perhaps/uncle niece, I believe the law should stay out of it. Mostly the question is moot since in all but 9 states, the age of consent is 16 or 17. Also, there are close to age exceptions in other states.
Except for teacher/student, I know of no case where a woman was prosecuted for having sex with a boy age 16 or older.
OK but what if it's a boy instead of a girl?
You see, the law applies to everyone, what did the woman get?
Ohhh sorry I misunderstood your question. Do you know a lot of cases where a minor had sex with an adult, male and female then? Or is that just from your experience?
I can't believe that you are not aware of the fact that boys are prosecuted far more often than girls for the same behavior. Nevertheless, here is one example. "Boy 15, put on sex offenders register for 20 YEARS after exchanging naked pics with girl the same age." www.thesun.co.uk/.../
That's horrible, utterly disgusting
A 15 year old doesn't even know what they are doing properly. I was talking about adult women here, not girls though
"Is it ok NOT to call police if the teen is 16 or 17?" "I was talking about adult women here, not girls though" So 16 and 17 are adult women and 15 is not an adult. Ok! That explains it. Now I know your definition of adult women and girls. I might have a slightly different definition, but that is close enough.
Noooo Jesus, I was asking what if it's an adult woman with a young BOY. Should police be called?
Not unless you want the boy to be punished. If it is consensual sex between a 34-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl, without exception the court will rule, the girl is not competent to give consent and the man will go to prison. However, when the roles were reversed, the court ruled the boy gave consent and ordered him to pay child support and the woman doesn't go to prison.

Depends on which state or country you're in.
What if it's illegal
In the UK they are not underage they can even get married. It depends on where you live...
But I mean if it was illegal, should the police be called?
As I have said before at that age if both are happy NO...
Alright thanks
If the girl is being bullied or forced to have sex of any age , then the police should be called, it would be better if it was the girl that did it...
What if the boy is forced?
Same applies...
I do think there is a huge difference if the teen made the move but still wrong
The age of consent in the United States for sex.
16 and up most places is legal.
But what if it's illegal?
