I'm of the opinion that dating and in-a-relationship (boyfriend/girlfriend) are not the same thing. Dating is you are going on dates, typically to determine IF being boyfriend/girlfriend is a what you both want. At this point, you are not exclusive. You are single and you are not in a relationship. But if at any point you agree that you are one of their girlfriends, you are not single and you are in a relationship.

(That's not to say dating stops once you are boyfriend/girlfriend, is just means you, if in monogamous relationships, begin only dating that singular person/stop dating others)

I mean it's not something I would do, if they're both looking for relationships then I'd advise picking one of them if your interested in actually having a relationship with them if your not though I'd cut em loose because otherwise your just leading them on and that's only gonna hurt them down the line.
